Pics of my Flowering NL

Here are a few pics of my 2 Northern Lights that are two weeks in flowering. My bigger plant was two months in veg and my smaller one was about 5 weeks in veg.I LST'd them from about three
weeks on and did so heavily till present day. As you can see from the pics i have over ten colas on the bigger plant and about seven on my small plant.
Just wanted to show them to everyone so they can see what they helped me accomplish, so far, in my first grow. Thanks all.

I realise that this plant is pretty small for five weeks in veg and two in flower but i'd say its down to gentics cos i gave it the same conditions as the other one.(minus the stress the big one had due to it being my first plant. So maybe lack of stress is a factor???)

Here is a pic of my grow room just to show you what space and setup i'm using to grow these babies.

What do ye all think? Does anyone want to fathom a guess on the yield.I know its hard to guess but just an estimate. I was hoping or two ounces but i'm think that one and a half is more realistic.

If you look up at the top left hand corner of my closet pics you'll see theres a little computer fan. That fan is sucking air out of the grow room and blowing it down dryer hose/duct and into a fireplace and up thchimney which i have sealed off. So any smell that gets sucked out of the closet is straight out and up my chimney. You'd think that the little fan wouldn't be much good but it is pretty decent. I'm lucky to have a fireplace in my room (its cos the house i live in is real old, doesn't even have heating) Northern Lights don't give of that much of a smell, well not yet anyway, unless you handle them and then the reek that sweet sweet smell.

Ya i've had a lot of problems with the big plant and thought at christmas it was on its way out cos i couldn't sort the problem out. It turns out it was rootbound. Since i fixed that its been going great. I'm starting to think that cos of all the stress it had it grew to that size cos the other one i have which is three weeks younger is hal its size and had less stress.

The Alchemist Good luck bro...looks good so far...I'll say 2 oz sounds about right ... you have done some nice LST and NL is a well known strain. All things stay stable and you'll be happy. I've tagged it to watch. Keep up the good work. One thing you might wanna watch for is the chimney itself. Specially if you are in a cold region. You won't be able to smell it untill you go outside. in the winter with snow on the ground you might be able to smell that for a block away. If you have a neighbour with a window or balcony up top then they will smell it for sure and you would have no idea.

Just my 2 cents...I know someone that had this problem,,,,just something to consider.

Peace

Luckily enough i'm living in an estate and all the houses are the same size so theres no balcony or windows for the smell to waft in. I threw a bag of pot-pourri and air freshener in there aswell to kill the smell a bit. NL is not really a strong smelling plant anyway so i'm hoping there will be zero problems.

I got my seeds from FemaleSeeds NL. They had them in my local hydro store and they have gotten a good rating for not herming so they suit me.

My fucking timer broke again last night. I hope this is he last time it happens cos i don't want them to hermi. I'll keep ye posted!

The Alchemist ... ha...I had the theme of weeds runnin in my head there..."little boxes on the hiltops, little boxes made of ticky tack......lol...anyways ... right on man...hope it works out...You may be suprised by "not a very strong smelling plant" ... doesn't mean it doesn't smell man...ha... dunno...I've grown NL and it smells up the house like any growing bud will do....I have a Superskunk x Kush that stinks in veg ...it's all relative really....I hope the best for ya.

I have always just used those wall plug heavy duty spinner type timers....cost about 10 bucks and replace them every few years or so....never had one break on me but I suppose it's the law of averages...gonna happen some day...what kind of timer are you using?

Peace

This is my fourth timer going through and i'm only pulling 250watts through it. I'm using the Argos mechanical timers and i was using Woodies Mechanical Timers before that. The last timer did me for two weeks so hopefully i this one will work properly or at least gove me another three weeks.I've thought of a plan to get free timers so if it works at least it won't cost me another 20 euro.

My NL does smell but not that much in less you touch it. Anyway i'm hoping that even if it starts getting strong after being pulled up the chimney and into the fresh air that the smell will be disolved so much it would hardly by noticable. The wind should help me with that.

Ahh man..that doesn't sound right at all....you must have bad wiring or crazy surges...is everything grounded?....no reason you should be going through timers like that...you should consider getting a power conditioner in that case....go to the local Stereo Shop or "future shop" and get a good stereo type power conditioner. You may find that helps....Bet it's an unstable ground though...have you been having storms lately?

I had to go back to see what you were using, but I knew it was flourescent lighting if you're going through plug-in timers. You have to step up to a quality timer,I dont know why flourescents burn out plug-in's long before higher wattage HID's do,I only know it to be a fact as I've seen it time and time again.

I think both of the smaller cfls have only a live and neutral wire in the plug so maybe lacking an earth is the problem. But then again both those cfls are only 18watt(100watt equiv) so there shouldn't be any major surge. My timer can handle 3120 watts and i'm only drawing 236w. Hopefully this new one will work.

Thats interesting about the cfl's burning out timers.

Are digital timers more resistant to problems like that then mechanical or is itthe same?
