Top of the day ICMAG:

Attached some pics of my ladies, also looking for some feedback on how close my one lady is.

A bit of history, I have 5 ladies in flower now, first one went into bloom dec 20 and went into 12\12 dec 7, from that point I started moving ladies in every 10 days.

I do not want to harvest to early needless to say, I do have 15 more ladies waiting to move into 12/12 now.

I have another t5 4 foot 8 bulb on the way, once that arrives I can move another 3 or 4 over, until then they shall continue to veg.

To this point I have been leaving the ladies in veg for 3 to 4 months, lots of topping and LSTing going on.

I wish I new the strain, 6 months back when I started all this a friend was closing his grow down and donated 13 seeds which he had ordered from a seed bank, 7 of them were beautiful ladies.

He did not recall what strain he had ordered, but we do know they are not bag seeds for whatever that is worth. They smell great thought and grew out wonderful.

The one in question stopped growing needless to say awhile back, the buds appear to be still swelling up nicely. Hard to tell at this point and time, do I start to flush her or do I wait, either way what I am after as we all are is a perfect harvest.

Thank you again for any and all advice.

Hopefully these pics will help

Hopefully these pics will help

Now the macro is turned off on my camera, hopefully now we can determine how long until I start to flush.

I dont look at trichomes until the plant looks finished overall. The flower clusters are fat with swollen calyx and the stigma have turned brown/orange and shriveled into the bud. Noticeable growth will have stopped, the plant will use less water and the leaves will lose their healthy green color and take on more fall colors while lower leaves yellow and drop.

Then I look at trichomes. I look for the stalked variety with round heads that should look full and bloated, almost ready to pop. Clear stalks with no heads or small heads on calyxes are a sign that the plant is not ready.

Look on the calyxes and not on leaves. You want to see lots of trichomes with big, bulging cloudy heads. The heads will often cause the stalk to bend under the weight. The appearance of amber colored heads is a sign that the max production has been reached and the rate of degradation is faster than the production rate of new trichomes. A diminishing returns kind of thing.

I reduce feeding in the last few weeks until the plant is getting just water the last week or so. I only do this because I think feeding the plant right until harvest is a waste. The plant can live on stored nutrients during this time.

The timing isnt super important. Better to stop feeding your plant later than too early. The first set of pics look like they have a couple weeks left. You could cut the EC in half for a few days and then switch to plain water. You could feed it until harvest as well. I think the more important thing is to let the plants fully mature. This will have a much greater effect on the end result than any flushing/leaching/whatever technique you hear about.

So to answer the question, I wouldnt even "flush" at all but just reduce the EC by half every few days until you are at plain water. The leaves will turn color and may drop, this is a sign that the plant is using its stored nutrients and is getting close to ready.

This run, I am not taking anything before 10 weeks.
