Hey all! :rasta: Pics are finally up..
1st real grow here 600wat hps.
The strain is power plant and a few good bag seed i luckily came across.

In the pic with the roots round up, That means they are starting to tangle and its time to move up to my grow bags correct?

I am also using some fox farm nutes as you can see..

also for the grow bags im planning to get foxfarm ocean mix soil and add some perlite if needed..

Let me know what you all think :)

also how should i cover off that corner? cuz i just have it opened now.. OR is that ok? but isint lots of good light escaping?

Thanks :rasta:

i would let them grow alittle more before transplanting and don't mix anything with the FFOF except perlite. Your plants shouldn't need to much of the fox farm nutes untill they are bigger.

good luck

I have already started giving them a veryyyy small arount of fert. they have been growing for almost 3 weeks now mainly under the floros..

is it normal for them to grow pretty slow? a day or 2 goes by and i dont think they are getting bigger at all..
look at the pic of the small plant with the burnt leaf :-/

i hope they will be ok

AND how those baby seedlings lookin?

They're still in the "getting ready to grow" stage. Peeking in on them every five minutes just makes it seem slower (about how long I can stay away from my garden)

Once they get some roots, food and serious light, they'll take off

heh ok thanks guys :)

i was just a lil worried about those roots all curling up together

do u think i should hold off on the big bloom nutes or still keep giving them a LITTLE bit every day or so?

I wouldn't give them nutes if they are in the Fox Farm soil. Wait till they are like 7 nodes tall. It does seem to take forever for the first stage of growth from seed. Make sure when you do transplant you add some perlite for fast root growth.

as for the leaf burning it might be from over fertilizing. If it's what your adding or just the fox farm soil i don't know. I've heard fox farm soil can burn seedlings with it's intense organic goodness. The key to big plant are lots of light lots of roots and good nutes. You're well on your way.

heh i sure hope so.

i havent givent them fox farm soil yet... i started them with some light maricle grow with some peat moss i think and then perlite. root growth is coming along good and im going to start watering with just water. Ahhhh grow faster lol. how long does it take till they take off and start really growing?

coors your first grow looks jsut like mine, my guys are about 3 weeks along now, just transferred them from miracle grow seedling mix into 65% FFOF 35% perilite. they are bagseed, and i just cracked some ww's that arrived from nirvana. The leaves on my guys are kind of yellowish just like you said, if you havent done it yet check the ph of the water you are using, i just checked mine a couple days ago and it was 8.2, i am told it should be more in the 6.2 range, so i got some ph buffer from the pets store and now i think they are on the right track again.

hahahaha pakman thats funny, yea i put them back under the floros and they look like they are coming along nicely other then the yellowing..
and i have the fan angled up to cool the light and the room and the babies only get a tinyyyy bit of air, just enough to move the leaves a tiny amount..

mandingo! good freaking call about the ph. Im so stupid i dident even think about the ph levels yet.. i might head up to lowes and grab a ph meter but im not sure yet, im feeling prettttyyyyy lazy right about now hah

Ocean forest and perlite is a good medium,OF perlite and mycirrhizae is so much better.Dont cheap out on granulated mycorr for 10-15 bucks especially if your using FF or PBP nutes. You'll use a lot less of those expensive nutrients and get much better results

Yea I've been growing years in ocean forest until recently I started using mycorrhizae granule in my mix,my root growth has exploded compared to what I'm used to.I just transplanted the same strain I've been growing for years from 2 pint to 2 gal nursery pots and I couldnt believe the diameter and amount of roots. One more improvement I should have made long ago

hey instead of goin to lowes, go to a pet store, the ph meters at lowes are pretty inaccurate. i bought one for 20.00$ and it sucks. the pet stores sell the ph test kits and buffers for cheap as hell, i just make sure the ph of my water is spot on and i think that is good enough short of buying a $60-80 soil tester, and for those you'd have better luck buyin online.

yeah, it should be in the fish supplies dept. if you can't find it, i couldnt.... ask the guy there for ph test kits and buffers, sometimes they sell it all together in a kit, the tester, one buffer to drop ph, and one buffer to bump it up, but your ph is most likely high so you should buy an extra bottle of the stuff that drops it down, my bottles say "Ph test Solution", "Ph Down", and "Ph Up".
