So, whats up with my ph being so low on run off? I checked two plants and its hell getting run off out of 3 gal grow bags....I ph my water everytime at 6.5 should I let it go higher to offset what the run off comes out as? I remember blazeoneup says he doesnt even ph he just throws straight tap wter on it and 0 problems..I am ph'ing my water and putting it in is this whats throwing me off?

I am pretty sure this may all be a ph problems with possible N deficiency but I don't see how they could've already used up all the N...Here they are what do the experts have to say...?

Although they don't look too bad, they're getting plenty of N.

If anything those lower leaves look more like a calcium def.

The lower leafs do look over watered. Watering every two days in those 3 gallon grow bags is keeping them pretty darn wet imho. Keeping that soil mix always wet with the blood & bone in it could be why its running that low on run-off pH. I'd let it go through a longer drying out cycle between watering and see if that don't level it off and bring up the run-off pH some, otherwise you can't hurt it with a one time dose of a teaspoon or two of dol lime per gallon water, watered through the planters to adjust the soil pH higher.

A shot of cal/mag wouldnt hurt in the meantime.

Ok I usually water at 1 1/2-2cups per watering is this too much or too little? On day two when I do the lift test they seem really light...Thanks for help I'll see if it works I did not water tonight and will let them sit should be 3 days tommorrow.

How are you getting any run-off with that watering method ?

Doing little measured waterings like that, can lead to having somewhat dry pockets in the medium, a practice which can lead to root system problems which in turn can give you some misleading symptoms.

Seriously, I would do a more thorough watering when its time again...
Like pour in the water until it pools some on top of soil, allowing it a minute to soak in, then repeating same so it drains out some.
This should have your 3 gallon bags only needing waterings every three or four days, some even five days before they're getting light again. Having a capillary mat material under the bags also helps keep away pooling and evens out the moisure in the group of bags. Check into that next grow store trip

I meant 3 1/2-4 cups damnit sorry....I am guessing even that is to low as I put 8 cups in each plant this morning and barely got a drop of run off....I don't know what the hell I was thinking 5 grows deep and can't even water right lol :wallbash: I remember doing 8 cups my first grow but scaling off because I thought it was maybe too much.

Thanks a lot for helping me I really appreciate it.
