Pheno hunting , TGA and Norstar Genetics.

Started a 420 promo's seeds, mostly Norstar genetics but also some TGA thrown in.

I'm looking for breeding plants, regardless of sex, although a dank male In my opinion - would be far more valuable for inbreeding purposes.

Querkle- Purple Urkle x Spacequeen

Grape inferno- Nepali OG x Querkle

Panama Boqueté- Panama landrace x Frap Frap Mazar.

Bogota Breeze- UK Cheese x (UK cheese x SM Colombian Gold)

Zest OG- Cali o x og

King Pakal- (Afgooey x Chelumbian)

Funky Cold Medina- (basement Jam) × (UK cheese x OG)

These began germinating 2 days ago roughly. Most are popping above ground now. I don't have much experience with these cultivars aside from Querkle and King Pakal, I loved the 10 week fat colombian gold pheno of "King Pakal" the last time I grew some, made excellent meds, 2.5 hours duration sativa, I didn't keep it sadly, I won't make that mistake again.

The Panama Boqueté is a Panama dominant hybrid with 9.5-10.5 week flower time and deep coffee and strawberry aroma from that Afghan-mazar leaning father, a new take on (Panama x Afghan hashplant) I'm very happy to test out.
The Bogota breeze is a cheese backross using a "chelumbian(cheese x colombian gold) male, the same used in king pakal that i really enjoy, i expect it to be an even more active buzz than ordinary cheese.
Finally, the zest OG may provide desirable orange terps and effects but I'm skeptical about anything bred with "orange skunk"(the wet noodle of the marijuana world) but smoke test will be the final judge.

I think the temps maybe dipped too low these past few days in New york and a few seeds are either lagging or aren't going to germinate. I think 2-3 of the king pakal will, none of the "Bogota breeze" and 1 "Grape Enferno" appear to be coming up. Almost all the querkle did, "funky cold medina appears" to be the most cold resistant in the bunch(indica influence?) And about 50% of the zest OG did. And they already look male(stretchy) which is nice. I'm transplanting everything Into soil today, about a week away from their next transplant, probably a month from sexing and 6 weeks until first testers are flowered. In comparison to the Ace Seeds -Purple Zamal x A5 Haze germing next to it, which is now 85%+ above ground and my own seeds at 75%, I think maybe some of the seeds are older stock, and showing less vigor.

1 grape enferno and 1 Bogota breeze is above ground, 90% on the querkle, 2 king pakal, these may be slow starters.

I have a few Panama Boquete Up and transferred, The "funky cold Medina" has 1 mutant, nice growth, hood vigor, the sativas are much less cold tolerant.

7/8 querkle successfully germinated and are in soil, one is a seedling with intense grape smells, I hope it's a male.

The King Pakal were unsuccessful, or were not compatible with my grow area.

Same for the grape enferno, maybe 1 survived, and the Bogota Breeze, I think the temp fluctuations in my new grow area made the seeds more susceptible.

2 'Zest OG' survived, stretchy.


I added 8 seedlings of Norstar's "Banana Faction" which is a banana og f2 bred to a sour diesel hybrid. I expect great potency on this one.

I Added 5 'Peace Train'(Mendo purple haze x Jack The Ripper) Bred by Norstar seeds for TGA Subcool seeds. Now unavailable as it was discontinued, I will be making seeds using the best representation I can find, hopefully I can find a male in this 5 plants.

About a five to six weeks before flowering outdoors.

The various surviving plants have been transplanted, I believe I have a male in the Querkle plants that will be worth using if it isn't intersex, same with the Zest OG and Panama Boquete. Funky Cold Medina were all transferred and have excellent heterosis on most plants, one in particular has my eye, very greasy in veg, classic hell's og traits, I have a few Peacetrain plants transferred now too, and what I believe is a male as well that smells strong and grows very vigorously, I will use those genetics too if possible this summer.

So far the Panama Boquete have a strawberry sweetness and the smell of pre-sunrise forest musk or moist leaves/dirt, slightly earthy coffee notes, this is supposed to be a hybrid of Panama Red, I see mostly indica characteristics, but I expect flowering time to show via floral structure and stretch, which is indics dominant and which is sativa.

There's a really smelly whirled phenotype from the Funky Cold Medina that really tàkes well to topping (3 new tops) and stinks strong, a bit on the stunted side but pulling through.

The the one zest plants a male like I hoped, and a few FKM showed sex, I will be transplanting them and moving outdoors to a shaded area to flower once I get clones in a week or so.

Best smelling Querkle Male is about a week from transferring and moving into the flowering room. I want to work with querkle genetics for years and this is a funkier green phenotype(more desireable for potency)

All of the plants are within the canopy.

I've got some Ace Seeds Purple Zamal x A5Haze in black 1 gallon pots, slightly more mature than the other plants. A little over a hundred of my own polyhybrid f2's.

Of the Peacetrain plants I have, 2 males showed sex thus far and 2 females. 1 not sure yet, the purple haze phenotype I plan to use along with Querkle to pollenate the purple pheno of (Purple Zamal x A5Haze), that is the major goal of this pheno hunt, if any of these old TGA or Norstar seeds can provide potent smoke or quality males.

"Grape Soda" Phenotype of Querkle sex is male! 1 week until flowerering these males to see if they're intersex or stable and have the goods, so far the querkle male I have looks

I found an elite pheno of Querkle, the resins on this one in veg are top notch, smells just like the male grape soda but scaled up, like sparkling grape juice!

I will get a better picture after transfer(rinse) but this female produces small trichomes on the leafs, during veg!

I think f2's are possible.

Thanks, I've found what appear to be keepers in most of these hybrids, I've just got to flower them out to confirm this.

All of the querkle males I've got flowering, some look and smell better but it's all about stability for this first test.

So far all of my "peacetrain"(mendo Purple Haze x "Jack The Ripper") are females no chance to produce f2's


I think I'll use the best purple phenotype of Peacetrain to make seeds with the best Querkle male, I have several "soda" phenotypes both male and femalenfrom a current breeding project I want to add "Grape Soda" to the mix.

I have 2-3 panama Boquete left and I think 1 is a male, 2 being females. Those are more squat/heirloom growth.

Nice, I picked up some scarlet queen, dairy queen, and the flav, at my local seed bank, from the last drop they had right after sub passed. I decided to pick up some of bogs gear at the same time, literally because of him getting older. And wouldn't ya know he passed away a few weeks later. I have 2 Scarlett queen phenos and a flav in rotation right now.

I had to kill 2 Querkle plants for being intersex, i killed another 6 from my current hybrids, moved both of the stable querkle moms into the Male tent and I will add the Peacetrain females if they remain stable for another week.
The Panama Boquete is also being added in the next few days, I want to reveg while making seeds with all the stable phenotypes and my current 3 males have selected.
