my last Pez crop

my last Pez crop

this stuff taste so freaking good!

it was Numero Uno on my list of must have strains when I started growing.

i cant wait to do a hydroponic run.... babies are in the EZ Cloner

beautiful garden.
how was your climate control? did you get any purpling?

Thanks Ghostly! Temps were kept in check with a big window mounted A/C bulit into a wall and vented into another room with a fan scrubbing air and exhausting it. Also had a big Dri-Z-Air dehu that took care of the humidity very well, and had c02 tanks and ppm meter running.

I've gotten some pretty purple colors before a few times with the pez when letting it go a little longer in colder rooms, but this crop stayed pretty green :)

I am in CO & a grow buddy has been spreading these "PEZ" clones to many caregivers and dispensaries for well over a year now.

i Just did a Breeding a few months back_ "Female-Pez" Crossed to a "Male- StrawberryCough x Master Kush"i have tons of pics of fully finished Pez clones before and after cut/dry/cure. real good yield of real good smelling tasting goodness.

Has he s1'd some beans yet? im interested :) :)

I was gifted the Pez clone in 99/00 and grew it for 4 or 5 years, then unintentionally culled the clone......DOH!

Definately unique in flavor and effect. I always seemed to get overwhelming cotton candy flavors from it with hints of peppered skunk. I would do 2 cuttings out and 2 cuttings in and I would take one of each what most would consider entirely too early, and let me tell you, INTENSE-SWEATY-CONFUSED-TACHYCARDIA! Very unusual and unique characteristics for such an early harvest....30 days avg. for the early indoor. The other indoor and outdoor cuttings were always harvested ripe and were VERY nice Ganja.....I probably, well, definately would still be running Pez if not for an F-up.

I jumped on here to blow all of your minds with pictures that I KNEW were on my hardrive of several years of indoor and outdoor runs...early veg., late veg., and all stages of flowering, harvesting, buds, etc., etc., blah-blah-blah.......but my other half seems to have been cutting disks of pictures for the last 8 months or so without me knowing it.........sooooo I will have to go through several spools of disks to find them, and I don't have a lot of time on my hands lately. I will try to not tease everybody and see if I can't scrounge up SOMETHING in the next week or two.

I still have three beans from a 2002 indoor cola (S1) that this thread has persuaded me to move to the top of my "to-do" list. Thanks for stirring up fond memories guys (and gals?)

Be good.

Interesting, never heard that one before - Do you have anything that corroborates that claim?

Yeah dude, I bet he has a whole bunch of stories that are mostly based on red-eyed conjecture, foggy stoner memories, and outright bullshit! Just like every other story about the origins of genetics that I see posted on this forum.

What more proof could you possibly need? :tiphat:

Back on page 1, Jiggywhompus backed up his SCCC claim with an old Cannabis Culture article detailing the formation of SCCC; Granted, I know it's not empirical or anything, but it's better than a lone claim, hanging out there by itself... :D

This is the only mention of the word "Pez" in that article:

All of our strains were obtained as clones except "The Pez" (Northern lights), which was the made-in-the-stars result of one thoughtful individual saving a single seed from a bag of supreme quality near-sensimilla.

That hardly qualifies as evidence, empirical or otherwise. ;) I mean no harm, but the bullshit that permeates nearly every story-behind-the-strain I've seen on this forum is a little annoying to someone who is legitimately interested in the truth and not stoned ramblings.

And how, praytell, do you plan on getting to the truth if you don't ask people where / how they obtained their information? Truth is a process, brother, not a sentence.

That's just the thing -- with this particular community (not ICMag, but the subculture as a whole), liars and thieves seem to outnumber the good people, and slightly ahead of those folks are the embellishers aka white liars who need to feel as though they are "in the know" and part of the group. I can log on to ICM and read 10 stories knowing that at least 5 of them are either exaggerated or outright lies, so frankly -- I've given up on finding the truth and am more interested in producing quality medicine than sifting through the BS.

jigg... even though we have our dif., i concur

tree- nothin personal, but um, no.

regardless of origin, it is what it is. i invite anyone "who know the real deal" to come into the coop (Conscious Care/ medicalmarijuana.coop) and try the finished product and decide for your self.(the seattle location has cured Pezz now and cuts will be ready by next week) in case you feel froggy n want to jump into it.

having said that, only 2 of us have posted pix.
regardless of your opinion, or facts, its a great PNW strain.

Im saying it didn't come with a label or instruction on how to grow or a family tree or certification authenticity.

"But pink pez isn't a pheno of pez. It is a cross of pez. Pez x sweet pink grapefruit.
There are no phenotypes of pez. Just crosses and s1's if she does.."

thanks for clarifying that, I was mis-informed if thats the fact. It makes more sense though (given that the origins (which are clearly not as black and white as we all wish) seem to be bag seed to elite cut as apposed to the possiblity that there were multiple, single sourced seeds, being popped- ie chemdawg a,b,c,d,1,2,3,4- one bag of weed, 13 seeds, one name, multiple phenos) and jives with my personal experience that the pink has a more pronounced grapefruit profile... but again, the origin of the strain is... a mystery. which i kinda like, adds to the lore and spirit of this ancient sacrament.

i do however appreciate you deep concern for "what it is i actually have"... i posted pics, and let ya know where a medical patient in washington could even source some meds and clones of "what i have" ... besides, you seem to be the expert, do you think my pix look like pez or possible a cross? is there a dna test to certify or do we just rely on our friends, our senses (taste, smell...)

I don't know it all, but i know a bit and I have my experiences to back me up so...
Im comfortable in saying i have Pez, plain ole beautiful Pez and her stankin azz.
And if there are killer crosses out there or long lost sister seeds or just something is similar, cool, Im into it. its not rocket science, its sacred medicine

Heya!

I just picked up a few new interesting cuts from some cats in the Western Washington / Bellingham scene - Sour Diesel, OG Kush, SSH x Trainwreck, and the most interesting sounding of all, Pez.

Anyone know anything about it? From what I've gathered, it's a very tasty / stony PNW original that's marvelous outdoors. Possibly also known as 'UW' or 'UDub'. I was told the name came from the rumor that it was developed as a medical strain for University research on Lopez Island in the San Juans. I can't imagine the fruity / candy flavor hurts, either. Can anyone confirm or add any new info / pics to the pile?

Thanks!

I recently acquired UW from an old-timer in the PNW. He's had it for a looong time. I always take names with a grain of salt, as people do embellish. But I think this might be the real deal. I have run her through her first cycle and she is definitely an amazing plant by anyone's standards.

I would say Pez and this UW are not the same thing. If mine is the real deal, UW has a milder hashier smell and taste, unlike the Pez description entirely. The potency and high of UW are really a cut above, I am so amazed by this plant. Unparalleled bag appeal and resin, more resin than I have ever seen on a plant before. Great weight too, total bonus. I am re-thinking my entire breeding program.

It seems to have at least 50% Afghani genes as far as appearance goes. Not sure; it seems to have been crossed with something because the structure is different than an afghani typically is. It has an outstanding structure; stiff branches and nice vigor. Everywhere but the main tops it is like a golfball tree, with nice tight buds that look like they have been dipped in powdered sugar. I feel like I just tripped over the grail.

That said, I am searching for ANY solid info on the original UW to confirm if mine is the real deal. I haven't found anybody else who has it. I'd love to see some pictures and get the entire UW story. I will be posting my own pics and a write up of it regardless because it is so amazing. Camera coming, I want to document the entire cycle. Close-up nug pics coming tomorrow, though.
