Pets getting into grow room...

LOL.
Those kitties in the air tube are hysterical!

I keep my grow room door open during the day and finally had to put up a screen to keep my cat out.
She actually got urinary tract infections from the nutes in the leaves during grow and bloom times so I only let eat them after flushing now.

facelift.. i know how that goes. our pitbull is just over a year and when we adopted her a few months back she was eating fan leaves and shit off of our plants.. luckily she stopped bc she woulda been back at the shelter if she continued that!

I think my friend was able to save a few plant. Might be flowering the tops. Last I heard some of them were 5 feet tall and he's only using 4 small CFL's.

As for my fish, I took a few more pictures, but I must have sent them to a wrong addy. Will try again. The plants in the tank have taken off and the fish have settled down. They seem very happy.

I found a 55 gallon tank for 30 bucks at a thrift store down the street. No lights or stand. I would have to invest in a 2nd bio wheel, and 2 hoods. First I'll have to see if they'll let me test it for leaks.

Then if sold, I would have to rearrange my room and build a stand with cabinets. I could buy a stand too that will double as a veg chamber. Total investment would be $250 minimum. Would also allow for a few more fish. I'm thinking Rainbows if they are not fin nippers. There's not one ding on my fish. They are nearly perfect.

I feel so god damn guilty now NO MORE FAN LEAVES FOR MY LIL' DARLINGS THEN-flushed or not...
I have had a cat die right in front of me from a urine infection because we went away to help out family and the person who was suppose to feed her and top up her water never did. By the time we got back, the vet said it was too late and wanted to put her down.
To kill her it was going to cost us $170au which we did not have for another 3 days. And they refused to do it until we paid. So we had to take him home and he passed away with in the hour. It was like he waited until we got home to say good bye to us. It was horrible to watch. And the worst of it all, my boy who was 3 at the time seen him die.
I seen the person resposible, and although I am not usually violent or condone it in any way, I gave her a good whack for it. And I don't regret breaking her nose at all- I regret trusting her with my lil boy and will miss him forever because of it...

Thank you for that life saving information. It would be the potassium in the nutes. I have problematic kidneys which causes uti and kidney stones sometimes and is from too much potassium or calcium in my diet...
I think I will just stick to the catnip for my kitties from now on...

yup-the nutes in the fan leaves got right into her system-immediately!
I was really shocked because I only use 1 or 2 tablespoons of PBP-not tons of nutes.
But it would immediately get into her bloodstream and she'd be licking herself a lot after trying to pee.

Believe it of not the dry food that I was giving her for years suddenly added too much of something and had a recall of the product that I had just bought 2 days before.
I noticed blood in her liter box and she was licking herself constantly.
I removed the food and it cleared up instantly.

A few days later I saw it happening again after she ate some leaves from a vegging plant! There was a bit of blood in her urine in the litter box. But because I just learned about the unbalanced phos, mag, etc in the food-and realized this is the same as the nutes-I took her leaves away and it cleared up immediately again!
She hates me for it too! LOL

But the flushed leaves are fine.
Its amazing to me that there are enough nutes in the leaves to affect our pets. But they really do!

lol!! Love this. My own cats are not allowed in the grow area, but Jax does sit in front of me when I smoke and inhales my exhales.

I finally found some spare time to catch my cat in the act. We had just finished trimming some fan leaves for some art work that I do, and I usually I press dry them, but on this occasion, I left them on the bedside table to assist Shaun with watering the girls. When I came back this is what I finally caught:
