We have two cats. KIKI a male and leona is a female. Kiki is a card. LOL. As you will see from my pic, he likes to sleep on my foot. And Leona likes to play with our Bic lighters. Every morning is a lighter hunt.
Just the other day I seen a commercial where a guy and a gal were singing,"I can do anything you can do, better. No you can't , Yes I can." " I can do anything better than you, No you can't . Yes I can." Well, the tune stuck in my head. So, I found myself singing it to Kiki. And just as I sang "No, you can't", Kiki bent over and licked his balls. All I could say was," You win." LMFAO :yoinks:
If you have any pet stories I'd like to hear them. I figure they should be worth a good laugh. And we need a good laugh in this life.

I used to work at an Animal Hospital, and some of the cats were less than friendly. I had one lovely kitty fly out of his cage (a middle cage too, upper chest and neck area) straight at me with claws extended, looking for blood. I ducked in time, thankfully, and turned to grab him, ready for an all out battle. The cat was literally stuck to the wall. He flew out so fast and their claws are so sharp, that cat got them stuck in the dry wall. :jawdrop: Hell, I wish all the ones that jumped out of their cages angry were that easy to catch.

This gives me a great idea for cat baseball.. seems like you already would have the automatic pitching machine

My girlfriend and i are raising two cats. They are brothers and very different personalities. 2 yello`

Well screw their discriptions, they wouldnt stop standing on the keyboard and in front of the monitor. I was battling them for 5 minutes, and then decided i might as well put up a picture.
Well here is one of them, he just woke up from sleeping. Can you tell? =D

A funny story happend this morning though, they were play fighting as usual, and we put on "Eye of the Tiger" and watched em have a good brawl for a while. Everyday they us laugh and smile.

She also has 3 dogs, If i stand on the diving board and make any kind of noise, the black lab will jump in and swim circles in the water under me. Im not sure if he is ready to save me, or just wants me to jump in so i can play] with him.

Here is a kitty that made an impact on me for the rest of my life. She didnt live much older than a couple months, and it tore me apart when she died. God i loved this little kitty.

Her name was Chaloula

my cat is crazy. she'll run down the hallways and try to run up the walls while running down the hallway. she also like marijuana smoke which is odd cause every other cat Ive had detested it. but she sit right up on my desk amongst it.

My cats had their odd quirks, too..... Lately, Abby wants to drink water out of the tap, and only if it's hot water.

Pooh's a good old fart, older than frickin' dirt, but he gets into his senile "kitten" moods and runs through the house like he's on some feline upper once in a while...

And Wiley's just a fucking freak. No other way to put it. He's an orange stripped cat like Imp's, and from what I hear, all them orange fuckers are naturally crazy anyway.

LMAO to all the great stories!!!:biglaugh:

The cat in the pocket is a trip. :yoinks:

Last night me and my lady decided to give Kiki and Leona the last of the cosmic cat nip. But it wasn't enuff for Kiki. This darn cat put his head and front paws in the plastic container it came in and tried to fit his whole body in it. :yoinks: :pointlaug He ened up pushing the whole dam thing around the house with his head and front paws buried in the container. :pointlaug

I have prob asked this in another forum months ago but here we go again.

I have a almost 2 year old lab-rot mix,
I want to get a cat and my wife finaly agreed.
It has to be a kitten,
How would I go about introducing the cat to my pooch and what are some
things I need to do to start the kitty off on the right foot as far as training(whitch as far as cats go I have no experiance)
Gatting it to go potty and also it not clawing up my furniture, I really donot want to declaw it.

Any and all advice would be a big help.

And BTW the pooch is the most easy going dog I noe as far as other animals and people go she has a great temperment.

That's a nice lookin pooch you have there. If you want to save your furniture from clawing you need to get a cat tree, or make one. You can use rope or carpet to give them something to scratch on. If the kitty wants to claw your furniture just take it over to the tree and rub it's paws on it in a scratching motion. That's what we did. And now they go to the tree everytime. :woohoo: Hope this helped.

Yeah, try not to declaw the cat. It is taking away their natural defense, and they use them for a million other things. Plus, it can fuck them up mentally. I have known a few cats that were psychotic, I swear because of getting declawed. One cat had all four declawed by another vet and they all got infected. Bad. Real bad, it was in constant pain for about a month. Yowling all day and probably through the night. It kept licking at them, which only made it worse and would reopen the nasty wound. Plus, it would wreck the cage during the night and I would have to bathe it, trying to keep his paws dry. Surprise surprise that cat was still mean 3 years later.
As far as introducing them, just hold on to the little kitty. Make the dog sit down a few feet away the first couple of times, and watch you and the kitty. Just play with the cat for a while, and then put it up and play with your dog, so she does not get jealous. Do that a couple times, until the dog gets used to it, and then she can come over for a sniff and say hey. Oh, you should prob also give the dog a towel or something that has the scent of the kitty on it, and gauge her response.
If your dog is real easy going and nice, it should not be too much of a problem.

Oh, and beautiful dog, I love rots and labs. How much does she weigh?

Don't use rope or carpet, the cat'll associate the texture with anything else in the house that feels like it. We switched & started buying corrigated (sp?) cardboard strips for our cats to claw on, and they never clawed the furniture again after that---til someone chucked the cardboard doo-hicky. Give me a while, I'll find some links so you can see what I'm talking about, even though places like Wal-Mart & Petsmart carry them.

My cat was an indoor/outdoor cat, and he never clawed a single piece of furniture. He did however, fill one of my mom's planters with bodies. Birds, rats, mice, lizards, he had a lot of fun. I loved to sit outside in the yard with a joint and watch him kill. And since he mostly went after birds, they decided to start attacking him. He also got into fights. Yeah, he was a battle-scarred little bad ass. Had a chunk missing from one ear, and hundreds of scars. Always had scabs too, from the wounds. You could put him and find semi new wounds, pull the scab away so it would get fresh air, and he would love you for it. He was a very furry cat, with a thick under coat and the bushiest tail, like a squirrel's.
Was the best damn cat ever.

Eh, here's some newer shots of Abby & Wiley, for the hell of it.

Notice Wiley likes to try to cover his eyes when he's snoozin'

The little spaz making himself comfy in the bathroom sink....

"What the hell are you looking at? Can't you see I'm cozy?"

Rearranging himself in the sink.....

"I want food. Don't make me say it again."

Wolf screwing around....And no, that knife is nowhere near sharp...

Abby demanding Wolf's attention....

Abby drinking her French Vanilla cappucino. A very infrequent treat....

My cat's name was Samson, had him for about 7 years, and Delilah was the dog, she lived to be about 12. Had the dog first, so we named the new cat Samson since he looked like Delilah. Yup, Samson and Delilah, like the Grateful Dead song  Delilah had no idea I was letting the cat out, she was surprised. Getting old, she couldn't see as well in the dark...

After I took this picture, Sam attacked me. Either because I was in his way, because I took the picture or simply because he was bored. All three were pretty typical of him.

May they both rest in piece, two of the best animals (and the best cat!) I have ever owned. :joint:

Sam was also the softest cat I have ever touched. He just disappeared one day, sorta like one day he just showed up and we had a new cat. I wish I could have kept him because I was really planning on making a hat or some moccasins out of him.....after he died of course.

Thanks for the advice and links all.

Niki, tell Wolf I will have the thigh, when he finishes carving the kitty

And tarkus, you would only get one moccasin out of that cat,
I would have gone for fur berret.
