have u ever watched a bunch of birds ,on seeded bud in the fall of the year ?
I have not. Birds do seem to be interested even in young plants but leave them alone at that point. To prevent them getting your seed crop the same kind of netting used for blueberries and so on can be used. I wonder if they do the same for cannabis as berries, where they wait until the fruit is fully mature and then devour it all. Hats off for being such intelligent creatures but man is it annoying when it happens. Then as thanks they crap purple poo on your walls. :wallbash:

For ants borax and sugar mixed in a slurry and then put in a jar lid where no other animals can get to it. Works all the time.

The biggest killer of cats and predatory birds here is mouse poisoned prey.

Why don't snakes multiply to take advantage of the situation ?

Part of my land is 1/3 acre, right now with wild peas about 4 feet high.

I'm very careful about walking through it. Laid down plywood to create a path ... because I know there are lots of Rats Mice Moles etc.

Which means there are lots of Snakes.

Which means there are a few Rattlesnakes.

And because American health care SUCKS, I better make sure I don't meet up with a rattlesnake.

I already went without any "doctor" assistance when I was bit by a black widow on the neck.

Which is a little like taking LSD, at times. That lasted about 10 days.

My cats can take down rabbits as big as they are. Ground hogs can get kind of big though.
If there anything like we have reintroduced to the U.K. then I really wouldnt want them chasing or running at me with those tusks or I might mean 🐗 Boar ,,,,
I’m baked on diesel dipped cookies at the mo so might have my piggies mixed up,

Razor Backs are the wild hogs with tusks. Ground hogs or Woodchucks are big rodents and really dig into the sides of banks and such.

Here's out local variety.

Humans are the ultimate pests.

Just out-grow most of the pests,
use a fence to keep the deer out,
and plan on losing 1/3 of your crop to the locals. i.e. plant extra.

And don't forget Stealth or you increase the chances of losing crop to the Ultimate Pest.
St. Phatty has your answer. Plants can out grow almost all pests except for the largest cockroach on earth, humans. Nice patch and good luck.
