Personal Cannabinoid and Terp Tests

With 4 plants being tolerated in Canada now.

Do any of you know a place where a private person can get samples tested in Canada?

It would be nice to hear from somebody who has submitted samples.

It seems like testing is more for commercial ventures.

I would like to know what I'm playing with that's all. :)

I consider myself to have quite a nose and taste for specific terpines. The only thing is that I wouldn't know how to fully express that by terpine names so I would find this kinda testing educational. I'm in the US though. Interesting to know if I had access to the info.

IF you like it, its good. testing is moot.

Yeah yeah... If you like it... blah blah (no offense). I'd like my numbers too. I'll still have my favorite, don't you worry about that.

A couple who buy mine have asked and I just pulled numbers out my ass. Not what I'm comfortable doing. If I get seed that are marketed as being 30%, and they test 12, then maybe I'm growing them wrong, or more likely, the seed company is also pulling numbers out of their ass.

It could be the testing facility pulling numbers out of their ass too.

I've seen side by side test where it looked exactly like that but only because the results were so far apart.

If I give you two buds they should test close. I'd be very surprised, or should I say suspicious, if the test exact.

I'm speaking more along the lines of that it seems if you were to send 2 different labs 2 parts of the same bud, you'd get very different results back.

At least that what seems to be happening down here in the states. And it's more along the lines of one lab will test THC at 32%, while another will come back with 25%. Cannabanoid and terpene profiles will be similar, but the comparative percentages will be off.

It seems some labs like to juice the numbers a bit is what I guess I'm trying to spit out.

You're not far off the mark BUD. If you can show printed documentation that your bud is better than the competition's.... you're going to keep giving them your business.

In Canada, it's a little different (only a little) and not as capitalistic, in a wild west sense, because it's driven by Health Canada (government) and many of licenced labs are already in Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (government) licenced agricultural lab sector. The labs are constantly scrutinized by the government because agriculture is so important to our economy.

One more reason for USA feds to climb on board, grab the reigns and steer that wagon. If it's controlled by the State, it's still a competitive thing. The competitive component has to be removed.

When you're growing plants that nobody else is it would be nice to know what's what.

For example: Testing 2 parent plant types and seeing how the chemical profiles mix
in the F1 hybrid and further generations would be cool and what I'm also interested in.

yada yada, ya sure, you love it :)

I have some old skunk stuff, it has that skunk reek like a dead skunk or skunk cabbage. I heard its main stench is due to thiol compounds breaking down into mercaptans. Is there anybody that tests for those?

Or just terpenes...

Just emailed one company in Ontario for testing and hope they can help out. :)

Trying to pretend I'll only grow 4 legal plants is the joke.
