Get sick early if you want a ventilator.

There is no shortage of ventilators, what the fuck are you folks talking about.

Check the facts.

You folks need to turn off the news.
You do know a court of appeals ruled the news can tell lies make up fake stories and it is all very legal.
For your own good .....check the facts.

But why should I expect folks to know the laws that we are governed by?

BTW I voted I don't know.
The confusion created has me very unsure.

I cut my finger and had to go to the hospital. Emergency room was empty. The whole hospital was closed. Only way inside was thru one emergency room entrance. Only people allowed inside was if you had an emergency or were visiting an end of life patient.
I told them that next time I need stitches, I'll be sure it's during some pandemic, so I can get in and out.
Quickest trip to the ER ever. Got stitches, x-rays, medicine, and signed out in under an hour.

Yeah - even the doctors offices in the UK are half as busy as they usually are - no one wants to go to the doctor thinking they might get the virus there - the same as no one wants to go to any hospital - Some people would rather stay home isolated and treat various medical conditions themselves - than seek medical help - unless an absolute emergency - and that's what the hospitals are dealing with now mainly - by the looks of it -

Its hitting all ages - but hitting the over 70's the hardest - and around 80% that end up on a respirator die anyway - so a respirator is no one way ticket to living thru this virus - if you get it -

I didn't want to go to the emergency room and possibly be around people with it. I called a walk in clinic that I have been to several times. They said they would stitch it up as long as I didn't have a cough or a fever.

When I get down there, there are zero patients. Sign on door saying to call the desk. Lady in mask and goggles comes to door.

She opens the door just enough for her to stick the thermometer gun in the slither of an opening. I had to lean my head over, she was not sticking her gloved hand outside.
When I get in there he takes off the bandages and said "Oh... No. I can't do that. You have to go to the emergency room"
Emergency room doc laughed when I called the other doctor a pussy for not wanting to stitch me up.
They said they have had a lot of people come in wanting to be tested, but none have actually tested positive.
The paper says there are a few cases in that county that the hospital is in. It's the only hospital in that county.

I can't for the life of me understand some people's thinking. How some people hold such strong opinions for things with which they have zero experience.

65k people have died so far. Some of them were young and healthy. It's not rocket science. It's not healthy to be an alarmist, but playing down a pandemic isn't too f'n smart, either.

Funny how we get blamed for blindly listening to the liberal media as if conservatives were somehow, by default, "free-thinkers".. Lemme refer to scripture or fox news real quick to see how I should think and act.

Goof troops.. Critical thinking at an all time high here.

I talked to a neighbor that's a nurse at the hospital I went to. She said that three nurses at that hospital have now tested positive.

Hey Weird,,, care to elaborate on that ?
Sure

About a week ago one when it started to show in our area (just east of NYC) she had to put a fellow nurse from ICU on a ventilator (44 year old perfect health) now the person is dead.

It has gotten progressively worse since with patients coding in the ER as they come in for treatment. This means they have to be put on a vent if they can be resuscitated. She said yesterday not only did people keep coding in the ER but it was happening throughout the hospital.

They have been asked to reuse PPE for 2 weeks. OSHA as well as other safety agencies have been informed.

It is a shit show with DR and Nurses lives being held in the balance. I won't go into a diatribe on the treasonous behavior of the president or his cabinet but they deserve to be on trial for this.

It is a tragedy.

I was told never to go to work with out the proper PPE.
If you dont have the proper PPE you wait until you do.

Simply put you never do a job without the proper PPE.
I musta heard this 10,000 times in my life.

What the fuck are they doing to these people.
You can buy masks, and gloves, yea, they are pricey.

How much is a nurse worth these days??
What the fuck is wrong with hospital directors?

I wonder if this has anything to do with the N-95 mask and not being able to block the virus?

I am not sure, but if the virus is 0.2 microns.
And the N-95 mask blocks 90% of particles bigger than 0.3 microns.

My guess is it may block less than 50% of particles as small as 0.2 micron.

I do need to look into this better before I can confirm this statement.
