PC fans wiring?

D

Deaner

As long as the current requirements of the fans do not exceed that provided by the power supply, you're good to go. I went with the 2 amp version as I try to follow the Grateful Dead model - always have twice as much power as you really need.
With this adapter, I see that these is only one connector. What else will I need to run three fans with one of these adapters?

For your fans you get connectors with a molex fitting, they look like this. Some fans come with them, some don't. But you can plug one into another one, into another one and it saves you having to wire each one. It's like wiring them in parallel but a lot quicker.

with a bit of diy you can mount the PSU(for pc) in such a way that it exacts air , same as a PC tower....!!!

wiringfor fans.......black on black.....red on red , from the yellow/red/black connectors going to the HDD , DVD writer , fans
to switch the PSU on............look at the pin connector the connect to the motherboard
and loop Green (PS-ON)to any Black(COM)..

.I prefer 12 v....its safer , and and think uses less power than AC
and in my main cab i got a 12V radiator fan going running off a PSU...........!!!:nanana:

lol, that's an interesting idea, never thought of it.

Deaner, no problem man. I'm no expert either - the way those fans are mounted in the pic I found out later is a big nono... and I only found out they were called molex connectors recently after using them for years.:
