PBP

You won't go wrong anytime w/PBP! I used PBP, K+ silica, B52, overdrive, hydroplex! It was my first switch and I won't go back! Here's what I got on my first run with it!

My PBP Experience was great!!!

My PBP Experience was great!!!

yes i think pbp would be okay for dwc. i hear the liquid karma will stain the roots brown though if you use that addative with it.

Uhh! Sit it in water overnite and bubble?(referring to 1st post) Not sure what your talking about there Scooter! Just add your pbp like any other additive by mixing and your good to go! I've never used molasses, but I would imaging you would want to add it to water, heat it, stir it down and then add to rez!

this is interesting me.. does the pbp benefit from bubbling??

i see the need for bubbling when using organic ingredients like guanos, castings, kelps.. whatever. but do these kind of hydro-organic liquid nutes have anything to gain from this?

i say at least bubble your plain water for a day before you mix in anything to get all the chlorine out.

at this point.. i'm not sure but maybe it would help to bubble the water more with the molasses mixed in and then add the nutes in right before you water?

..or maybe if someone shines light on this and proves it does help to have the pbp in the bubbling water with the molasses then that could be a good course of action..

i've also been wondering if it would help to add more of the above listed ingredients into the mix and make a stand alone organic tea to use on 'in-between' waterings or every once in a while in conjunction with a pbp/lk/cal/mag diet..

or are the two incompatible? or not efficiently compatible?

haha or maybe i should just start making the bubbling teas and cut the bottled liquid nutes out altogeter? i feel this may be my last hope at finding a way to keep plants continuously satisfied so they don't have any problems. (that i can't ever seem to really fix either, they only seem to continue or change?).

i hope i can get there someday because i can't seem to keep pristine happy plants no matter how hard i try. so in some cases 'hard' has been substituted for a simple and hands-off type approach to compare and contrast and either way the plants aren't anything like some of the photography i see from masterful growers here.

whats the secret to perfectly healthy plants? or do they all seem to have some share of problems?

CAN PBP BE USED ON ITS OWN?

Will pbp alone create gooid results or will it not be enough nutes for the plants?

I think PBP alone would work (maybe add 1/4 tsp per gallon epson salt and gypsum?), but it would be better with the addition of CalMag+.

GrowGreens formula
15ml/gallon PBP Bloom
5ml/gallon CalMag+

pure blend pro is fine as a sole source of plant nutrition...You could use nothing but the one bottle of grow and one bottle of bloom for your entire plants life. However, botanicare (the makers of pbp) have all sorts of goodies that will help the pbp work better. I like using Liquid Karma. As a matter of fact, my plants don't ever get moisture without karma. Cal-mag is needed with some strains and some mediums...but not all. So to answer your question...YES PBP can be used as a stand alone. And no I wouldn't bother bubbling it, I don't see it helping much :)

I believe that PBP mix you quote there with CALMag is used with RO water. If your tap is already pumping out calcium and magnesium you dont need CalMag.

If you use dolomite lime at 2TBS per gallon you should be fine with Mg and Ca unless your growing in coco.
It is all in one and semi-organic as PBPro has a hydro component which is synthetic salt based.

I buying some more of the pro soon and was thinking that maybe I could get some of the original pure blend to use as a supplement with the pro

As far as I know, PBO is organic and PBP is basically PBO with a few other things and chem ferts added.
