How do you know it's not fake?

I emailed the club because I can't find a good source saying whether its fake or not. The club assured me it was a hoax. This could also be them trying to save themselves from negative publicity....

Anyone have any clear evidence of whether or not this was a hoax?

I could see Pauly doing this for publicity...to be honest I haven't even heard the guys name for years prior to this.
