It's seriously powerful Levi. Almost too much for me. [...] I'll only touch this stuff when I want to visit other planets or dimensions.
:laughing::laughing:

That shit is such a great endorsement of the strain and that press hahaha!

Thanks for sharing bud shots, reviews, awesome work. Looking forward to hearing about that tikal :tiphat:

Hmm. I think I need more practice haha

And thanks to everybody for the kudos and interest in my Tikal girl. It's funny, as impressive and delicious as she is, my current love affair is with her sister. A less impressive plant in terms of smell and resin production, the early samples reveal that she has just the kind of high that I crave. Happy, serene, clear, everything is right with the world, the sun it shines, the birds they chirp, I think I see a rainbow etc. A far cry from the Malawi based space fuel that has been my staple over the last 6 months. I'm thinking this one probably resembles the pure Guatemalan.

I even made some seeds crossing her with 2 Honduras males, but I don't think I'll be using them because she was chucking nanas for the last 3 weeks of flowering. They were infertile and she was stressed to the max (poor quality compost in my last batch of soil lead to pH problems), but her sister stayed true so I think I'll concentrate on popping her progeny instead. Still, totally worth growing out, I'm loving it as a daytime smoke. Hoping for more of this sort of thing with the Honduras I have flowering.

Hi PandyFackler,

What a nice thread you have started! :) really informative and straight to the point, i like that.

Thank you very much for taking the time to explore different strains of our catalogue, you got nice representative phenos of each strain: the lemony Panama, the forest fruit/red wine Purple Malawi pheno and the fruity Malawi pheno as well! The Tikal looks indeed very close to the pure Guatemala. The rosin looks super yummy! :yummy:

Did you finish any pure Honduras female ? I'm curious to know your opinion about this one.

Please, keep us updated with future reports as long as you keep exploring other ACE strains ;) This thread rocks, thanks!

PD: I'm about to reply your email.

Hi Dubi. Thanks so much for the encouragement. And many thanks for making these lovely strains available.

The Honduras is still a work in progress. They are at about 11 weeks now. It's interesting to see how different these two phenotypes are. This one is squat, wide and has an interesting dank smell with a little burnt rubber in there. I think she has another couple of weeks to go. Sorry for the hps pics.

And then there's this one. She's a beast with big fluffy hairy buds. Smells just amazing with woody incense dominating and a tropical fruit undertone. Has the odd seed here and there. I found a light leak in the pod the other day so no wonder I've had trouble with nanas lately. I've seperated her and given her her own 400w metal halide. I'm hoping I can take her in 4 weeks but I'm not holding my breathe. Can't wait though, this smell is something I've been looking for. Reminds me of some of the incense smelling haze hybrids of my youth. Lovely stuff!

I've had a lot of fun growing this plant. She's the most wild looking plant I've grown in recent memory. I should have fed her nitrogen more frequently but despite looking deficient she has kept growing strongly throughout flowering.

Hi PandyFackler,

The Honduras look stunning, what a beasts! :)
It's always a pleasure to see such nice plants of the new releases.

The released Honduras is just a P2 generation, and although it was reproduced using 100 % firm parental plants and discarding all the hermie males and females with nanas, some females still can produce a few in late flowering, especially with feeding stresses or with irregular photoperiods. But i see a clear improvement in the quality of this Honduras second generation compared with the average of the original seeds i had to deal with. I also see clear similarities between Honduras and the old tropical colombian sativas like Oldtimer's Haze.

I'm glad the aromas and yield are promising so far! Thanks also for this update!

Thanks Dubi. Knowing the risks of playing around with fairly unworked lines as far as hermies, I would definitely rather have these classic sativas and risk a seed or two than not have them at all. They only started to misbehave after I stressed them out in several ways. And regardless of this, they have produced an abundance of beautiful colas. Here are a few bud shots of the shorter Honduras.

Lovely Pandy Fackler!

The first Honduras is showing very nice central american sativa traits.
Can't wait to see your favourite, the second one ;)

Thanks Dubi, Here are a few bud shots of the Honduras:pheno 2, after 15 weeks of 11/13 -

This plant produced about 40 of these forearm length branches. I'm guessing about 120g for yield. Early samples of the bud have been nice but I'm going to try to leave it for at least a couple of months before I dive into it. The smell is straight up incense. I've made all the buds that are too sparse to be seen into a cob which is sweating it out right now. Thanks to Tangwena for the great thread about that.

Thanks ULMW. I love growing and I love sampling what I grow, but there is nothing more satisfying than sharing my endeavours with my friends and family. It makes me very proud when I can give my loved ones the medicine they need. I can only imagine the pride that Dubi and co must feel to be sharing these lovely strains with people around the world and I hope they will enjoy the karma they will receive for doing so! Big up!

Here's my latest panama girl. I'm thinking she's the red pheno having these red stems her entire life. Very sweet candy smell. Can't remember when she started flowering at all lol but I'm thinking still a week or two to go.

I just toked my last bud of my first Golden Tiger pheno, so I think it's time for a little report -

This plant doesn't seem friendly. Around harvest time, one can sense the warning signs. It looks dangerous, the red stripes, uneven knobbly oily flowers and drooping golden tiger claw fan leaves. It smells like someone with awful body odour has tried to cover it up by dousing themselves with grapefruit juice. Nobody could be faulted for proceeding with caution.

Perhaps my preconceived notions of this strain are causing this trepidation? I already know that Malawi and Thai are going to create something slightly terrifying. But even if this were a blind test, I think this plant would scare me a little.

Fast forward a few months. The smell in the jar has deepened and many interesting nuances have developed. Rather than straight up body odour, the backbone of this smell is earthy, sort of sweaty but more forest floor and female genitalia. Coupled with an intense citric overtone which lies somewhere between strong American grapefruit hops and rotting citrus fruits. Sounds kind of bad but let me tell you, it's mouth watering. Seriously beautiful. And the taste is the same as the smell and coats your mouth with a slight sourness. Lovely.
The high is manageable in small doses, it's very clear and a little trippy in a really fun way. So pleasurable. But take a couple of decent hits and holy Jesus...
Its a very trippy experience. Not a lot of warmth or euphoria coming through, but it is electric and mind warping, in the best possible way. I don't like to compare any weed to acid, they are just such separate beasts, but I think if someone who wasn't used to smoking weed had too much of this stuff, they might beg to differ.

I'm pretty bummed out that this is all gone now. On the bright side, I have a clone of it just a few days from being harvested.

So in conclusion - possibly maybe perhaps one of my favourites of all time? At least in the top 7, which has got to be pretty good. I would recommend this strain to anyone with a backbone.

P.S. Although this plant takes 13+ weeks to flower, the yield is huge, and I really think it has potential for 0.7+ gpw. Commercially viable by most people's standards even with the long flowering time.
