Lemon, candy, and tropical fruit soda notes. This smell is out of this world, seriously WOW. Wondering which of the 3 parents contributes most to this divine smell? This pheno is stretchy and has wide leaves and more columnar growth. Hungry for nutes and light.

In comparison, Panama x Bangi Haze smells like lemon-yellow colour skittles + hazy incense, slightly pine, lemon cleaner.

Who here has ran the regular version already? Any big differences.? Ive grown out the feminized version, twice now, and i really enjoyed it. I have some reg's that i plan to grow soon
I grew out a half pack (6 beans) of Regular Panama several years ago. I had a Red pheno female that had massive buds everywhere, I mean they were big. Plenty of frost, awesome bag appeal.

Unfortunately, the setup I was using was terrible - I didn't have great light intensity and I had massive temp and humidity fluctuations (6% or more swings of RH, 5+ degrees F temp swings) cycling through repeatedly over 20 minute periods during lights on.

That grow was a multi strain SOG with 7 or 8 high yielding plants that were 100% healthy and it was a terrific harvest all round despite the inadequate lighting ... but none of it was any good to smoke ! It was like top shelf popcorn.

I would recommend the plant every day, but not my setup as it was then !

I will be cracking a pack of Panama Fem in another 10 days or so. I'm planning a 3 plant Scrog in a 4 x 4 tent and no limit on veg time, I'll flip when the screen is ready. I'm thinking around day 40-45 but will be pleased if it's sooner.

Peace

Yeah the red pheno is a beautiful plant. I like looking through this thread. It has some great pics of her. The fem version pumps out some amazing plants too(y)

I posted a few photos of my seeded Panama about a month ago. I am starting to see a few pink hairs along with other orange hairs. Does this mean she is considered the 'Red' type?

This is my first time flowering out this plant. She is super-resinous yet stealthy and low odor, and she is finishing faster than the seeded Mango Haze or Hon x Pan, both next to her. Overall, she is perfectly green and looks better than the other two plants which have burnt leaf tips and aren't quite perfect-looking like she is. I really like the big calyxes. She is from a regular/non-fem pack. I pollinated her early, around 3 to 4 weeks. She has plenty of seeds but not a 'ton' of seeds, which is what I was hoping for.

It's about 12 days since the last pictures. I'm still getting the occasional pink hairs. The pink hairs turn rust red within a few days, and the majority of the hairs just start out as rust red. I will probably harvest this one within the next week. I took a sample a week ago and the seeds seem almost ready.

still early to identify the pheno @Tranquilidade but it's a good sign she is smelly so early in flowering.
Are you growing the fem or regular version ?

As i think i have commented a few times in this thread, Panama plants that show the pink pistil indoors in a moderate way, later a clone of the same plant grown outdoors show it in a much stronger way, it's a trait highly influence by environment, and outdoors enhance it.

It's feminized, and I think she is on the green side. Very tall, columnar, and lemony candy terps so far, sometimes with slight rotten/vomit aromas.

Gonna be some nice big buds!

What kind of light, what kind of fertilizer are you using? Soil with perlite?

● 1-gallon fabric pots from seed to harvest
● 480W LED at 60% intensity
● CANNA Terra Professional Plus 40%, 40% perlite, 20% worm castings, 50g. of Guanokalong bat guano powder
● Canna terra vega, Cann terra flores, Canna rhizotonic, and PK 13/14, but I haven't used PK yet

Growing in small pots is challenging, especially for a non-experienced grower like me. The hardest part is to dial in between watering frequency, light intensity, nutrient timing, and EC.

I grew out a pack of regs last year and selected 2 females to stick in the ground @37N. These things blew up and endured a couple tropical storms, getting knocked to the ground twice. Heat, humidity, and bugs didn't slow them down and both were 10ft at harvest. They felt very special to grow, anyone visiting the plants made a comment how these were the favorite. Both plants were the red pheno, and I can't say anything that hasn't already been said on this board, this thing breeds so true. The stone is heavy heavy and is not an all-day smoke for me. Love it for listening to music and turning off my inner monologue. More fun to grow than to smoke!

Looking good reaching mid flowering @Tranquilidade The fem release is a 1:1 pairing between a very strong very red type of sweet terpene profile and the lemony incensey Panama Goddess of more uplifting trippy effects.

Glad you got a sucessful outdoor harvest from your Panama regular pack@early_hominid :) Thanks for sharing pics of your experience. You will get better developed plants from the bottom to the top by planting in location with more direct daily sun light.

johnnylawrence deeper colors is usually a sign plant is getting riper but not the only one, check also the trichome ripeness, plant health, peak of terpenes, new resin production, reflowerings, etc ...

@SUPER_HAZE yes, female/male ratio in Panama is usually quite balanced. Are you sure you didn't get Panama seeds from others ? We have never released Panama regular packs containing only fem seeds.

Hello Dubi, thanks for answering. The seeds were from your store. A gift pack in 2020 and another two purchased in 2022. All regular.
Whims of nature I imagine and even if it is said that sex is already defined from the seed I would not be so sure. I think the growing environment influences sex.
In OTH, few males are supposed to come out. I have had about 60% of males with about ,50 seeds.
In short, I was interested in having the females from Panama. I didn't want the males at all haha
