Hi Dubi,
I have bad luck with panama line: out of a pack i had 6 males and 4 seeds didnt germ. the seeds were packed in dec 2008 so maybe thats why..?
So iam thinking of trying the feminised version instead. Is the phenotypic expression similar to the regular version? (for example pink pistils)
Advices are welcome.

Satchy, when did you buy the seeds? I am looking at the Panama for my next purchase and was curious if they were older beans (I'd still buy em 
) and if folks have had a hard time germing them. Dubi perhaps you may know how fresh the stock is?

I bought my panama beans from seedboo around may 2009: the seeds were packed in dec 2008; but since, there were new batches of panama so no worries about old packages; i hope it help.

Thanks! Yep I've been meaning to write a smoke report for a while, here goes. Today is Saturday so I started the day off by taking a nug of Panama from my jar.love?, your panama pic on page 35 is absolutely nice. how is she smoke?
The picture isn't the best but I think you should be able to make out how frosty the bud is. But in addition to that the bud is also really dense, this small nug actually weighs 0.8 grams:
For a size reference the glass onehitter on the right is the exact size of a commercial cigarette.
So with frosty dense nugs like this the bud appeal is definitely there. The only part where it's a bit lacking is the smell as even though there is a distinct smell it's not too strong. Grinding the bud only slightly increases the smell.
I smoked about three hits with the onehitter. I've often found it to be the best way of experiencing the taste of bud. Nothing too special in the taste this time however, I would mainly say marijuana. I hope I find that lemon pheno I've been hearing about some day.
At this point I notice that the effects are very strong despite only having smoked a minimal amount. Panama is a really potent variety. I've written in my notes that the immediate effects were a warm sensation that spreads from the front of the head to the entire upper body, cheeks feeling heavy, slight euphoria that seems to be intensified by good music. Despite the physical sensations my mind was clear and not "foggy". I had a large desire to go outdoors.
At this point I turned on my vaporizer and while it was heating up I had some breakfast. A cold slice of pizza in fact... and it tasted awesome. Maybe I was just hungry though.
I vaped the weed with a whip style vaporizer. The whip and the bowl were completely clean, so previous vaporizing sessions shouldn't affect the taste much if at all. To begin with the taste was a generic "vape taste", maybe you know what I'm talking about... a friend described it as being similar to carrots, dunno about that tho. As the vaporizer and the herb heat up a bit more more character is definitely added to the taste, difficult to describe like the smell, floral.
Vaping reaffirms that the bud is very potent. Having still consumed way under half of that 0.8g nug I was experiencing very strong psychoactive effects, even slight disorientation. I've written in my notes that I felt like I was on a boat. Also my ears were ringing. But the disorientation and ringing ears passed and
turned into a very pleasant feeling. Music sounded really good, I've written in my notes that I could have sat there all day just listening to that electric guitar sing.
But then I remembered my earlier urge to go outdoors and it started to seem like a good idea again. I roll two joints, which turn out ok even though I'm not really a great joint roller so no considerable loss of motoring skills I suppose.
Besides the two joints I also had enough left for what I expected to be a bong hit but was indeed many. As I mentioned earlier this bud is very dense... From the bong hits and the joints my main impressions were that the smoke was really smooth. Largish hits could be smoked without coughing out a lung, not too large though of course heh. Also another thing I noticed was that the psychoactive effects were very quickly felt. After the bonghits my ears were ringing again. Eventually escalated into a very pleasant feeling of mental clarity, a "clear head high".
Went to eat at a fast food place. Did not feel anxious at all despite being very high. Just went in with a smile on my face. And also everyone seemed to smile back, although I must say every now and then Panama has caused bloodshot eyes.
After I came back home after a couple of hours I heated up the vaporizer again and toked on it while watching a documentary from TV. Eventually I fell asleep on the couch, suppose I had consumed a bit too much. Woke up about an hour later, still high.
And now I'm typing this smoke report... smoking some Panama again. Even though it's very potent, it might not last you long.
From a medical perspective I'd say that the Panama definitely has potential for conditions such as depression or anxiety.
So friends my suggestion to you is that you go to Seedboutique and order yourself a pack or few of Panama from ACE. You won't regret it, at least I didn't!

Sounds like a nice selection indeed JGL Took long to be worked but am happy with results.
So glad panaman makes the trick for you amigos. Most of our worked hybrids outbreed fantastic with other different genepools, and as it had to be having different origin.
