Recap on the grow: 3/22, started two P Haze fems - grew them under 24/7 until the flip to 12/12 on 5/1. After two weeks of 12/12, reduced photoperiod to 11.5/12.5 Now, nearly three weeks into 11.5/12.5 the stretch is long over and the plants are 30 inches and 27 inches tall. One has 12 tops and the second has 10. They are in 3 gal pots of organic soil mix. The 6 clones I took all grew under 24/7 to root. Once rooted they went straight into 12/12, no veg period. The clones are the cutest little things; three are sorta dwarf, 10 to 14 inches, with fat buds. The three that rooted last are taller, between 18 to 24 inches, with so far, thinner buds. And yes, I'll finally send in some photographs. An old friend who has been an office manager for forty years is coming over to get the pics from my phone to computer, then send them to the forum. As an extra point of interest, there are a few accidental seeds forming on the two plants from seed. I will grow these out to see what happens when feminized seed (P Haze) is pollinated by a straight male. My other project is breeding Apollo 11 and A12 to themselves and to each other. I took the males out of the room to pollinate the 3 A11's and the 3 A13's, then sprayed the pollinated branches with water. Forgot to spray the whole plants, thus some stray pollen must have been on branches near the pollinated ones giving seeds to the P Hazes.
I'm glad to hear you are flowering your Panama Hazes and that you managed to control their size indoors. You will find the clones much easier to work with.
Best wishes with the seed projects too, a cross between Panama Haze and Apollo sounds good
Hello fellow farmers, I apologize for abandoning my P Haze thread. It was embarrassment at not being able to send in pictures. First my friend helped me get some pics onto my computer from the phone, and we managed to get two (A11 and A 13) onto the FS forum. Then I got some direct emails from some members there. Then my computer went haywire, not sure what it was, but after some hours on the phone with Apple Care, it was decided to wipe the machine and reinstall the operating system. Now no problems. So to summarize the grow: there were three quite different results, 1. the two PH seed mothers went from seed to harvest in 55-60 days! Not good. Probably, my new lights were way too close. I was using the old method of placing my hand under the lights, feeling the heat. So I could put my hand 2 to 4 inches under the ceramic metal halide bulbs and still be comfortable. So, that's how close the tops were, mistake! Better than any commercial I've had lately, but lacking something. Also, I'd upgraded the uv lights to t5 Repti-suns made for large desert reptiles. Again, I think this speeded things up. Now, on to the good news, the 6 clones are some outstanding smoke! But two completely different expressions: the first three finished in 13 and 14 weeks and were true bonsais, under 14". Potent and tasty. Not psychedelic, but a real nice strong head with not a hint of paranoia. The last 3 clones went 16 weeks and finished under 10/14. Strong and enjoyable head high with a restful comedown. Extremely enjoyable. Thus ends the tale. Amongst the next efforts will be the P Haze fem x Apollo 11/13 to see if a fem can give normal offspring. Also, some Kalite Tizane and some Nanan-Bouclou. Peace
Forgot to mention the structure of the last three PH clones. The grew as a normal sativa, tall, with fairly long internodes, and a huge harvest. On these, I went against the advice I'd been given, and added some 0/4/4 concentrated liquid seaweed from Saltwater Farms in Maine. Huge buds, pepper and lemon smell, foxtails and trichomes everywhere.Very few leaves, fairly green and not too long. Just received two more fem seeds from Cannabis Seed Guru and they are going in the next batch.
Thanks Hu73 for sharing your feedback about Panama Haze with us.
55/60 days is too short flowering time for this kind of tropical sativa hybrid, 13-14 weeks is more realistic. I'm glad the yield was huge and that you are satisfied with the quality of the flowers. Enjoy it!
Thanks for the words Dubi. I spoke a little too soon in saying the P Haze isn't psychedelic. If I take three hits it is fair to say the high is psychedelic, but somehow there is no paranoia. Hope to be alert enough to buy some regular seeds of the Panama Haze next time they are available. Then I can make some seeds for friends. Most of my smoke testers rate the P Haze their favorite. One liked Grapefruit the most, one C99 and one Jack Lamota. My favorites are Panama Haze, Queen Mother and Kikiriki. Peace
Dubi and everyone, Sorry my first smoke reports weren't really very accurate. With 20 plus different plants to sample I got a little confused trying to try them all in a short time-frame. The Panama Haze is outstanding. The 13/14 week clones are really electric, energizing and would probably be scary if I had more than one hit. But I find myself reaching for the 16 week's flowering clones all the time. It is less racy than the 13 weekers. Most definitely happy, all's right with the world effects. A friend an I had a couple hits then went outside and just kept cracking up with laughter over ordinary things like looking at the tomato plants. I'll keep growing this one. Also hope to have luck with the seeds of P Haze fems x A13 and A11.
No need to say sorry Sounds like you have been busy trying many different samples.
This kind of tropical sativa hybrid needs a proper curing to show its real potential, the grower also needs some time to get used to the complex psychoactivity this sativa delivers, especially if you are not an experienced sativa smoker.
Anyway, i'm glad you and yours are enjoying with its strenght and kind of effect.
Thanks a lot for your feedback, hopefully it motivates other growers to explore this great haze hybrid.

so true, you can kill your self and most experienced smokers with the right plant.if you never try a super sativa high can send you into the moon, giving back your childhood but also can scare commercial smokers. usually people think little hairy tiny buds means less power or unripe buds and didn't know the way they kicks, its easy get poisoned smoking too much in first days .
Dubi, you are the man! You are spot on about the complexity of the sativa high. Before I discovered the internet, it was nothing but kush, skunk and og. It was breaking my heart as I started with marijuana in 1964, all sativa all the time. Sometimes on forums some of the younger set even doubt that "real Acapulco Gold" ever existed! Lol! I remember one batch of AG that was such a bright gold color that it seemed to have it's own light emanating from inside it. It tasted something like burn't sugar, and it was sociable, energizing and sunny. We had to pay $40.00/oz for this dealer's stash when at that time $15.00 was the price for good commercial. This was 1968. Many thanks to Ace, CBG, Tropical, French Touch, RSO, Gypsy Nirvana and all those who are making the real deal sativas available to the growers of the world.
