Thanks Dubi.

Characteristically though, the green pheno is more 'up' then the purple 'down'? Or am I extrapolating my experience with purple and green phenos with other strains onto PCK where it doesn't apply?

That is I've found purple phenos on the same strain to be more sedating/calming, and green phenos to be more energizing. I know temperature affects coloration on some strains which dilutes my simplistic theory but does this stereotype hold?

Thanks again.

Hopefully this helps...I grew this and shared it with two sets of folks. One set are heavy smokers who gravitate toward strong indicas. They preferred Mental Floss to my PCK for strength of stone. Another group who are more casual users really raved about this strain including pleasant sedation, deep purple color and taste.

I love your work Dubi especially Oriental Express. Sounds like you're going to have to include some CBD in those Zamaldelica seeds!

Agreed on wanting a CBD Zam seed. As for Mental floss, it has great smell, great bag appeal, but is lacking in flavor, and has modest yield. Never made the cut for a regrow. Grown from Purple Caper seeds from Elemental Wellness SJ, and thought it was a counterfeit due to the disappointing bland taste, so I regrew from an authenticated clone grown from Chimera seeds with the same result. Pretty looking, good smell, something missing that I can't put my finger on. To be fair, different people have different palates.

Dubi, how about cannabinoid levels including THCV on your strains even as an average or ceiling? It would be a great marketing tool I would think. Seems the entire industry is going this route, and I am really curious as to your oriental strains but am not about to pick up all of them. Any idea as to CBD content or THCV content?

Thanks.

Hello Stoxx,

My experience is similar to yours, green plants coming from the same line have a clearer effect than the purple ones, but is not a rule. There are purple strains with great cerebral effect but not many ...

Thanks for your kind words and positive feedback :)

Here it happens the same ehhehehe casual smokers love the pure purple pakistani aromas, color and pleasant effect but if you are a heavy smoker or you are growing for yield then try a heavy yielding good indica dominant x PCK hybrid.

Ace Pakistan Chitral Kush just starting out, I let this one get root bound in a 5gal/19L bucket - been lovingly calling her "Project Kush Bush." We'll see if she colors up soon!

Terpene, she's a black pheno... probably will start coloring leafs and some buds with black hues.... but I don't think it's going to be pink or red.

Probably she smells quite strong, more into the hashish earthy kushy one's ??

Actually, she smells like berries or pomegranates, but a deep maroon reddish colored smell when rubbed. - I tend to use color to describe smell, I know its nuts.

I've never seen the black pheno... links to pics?

Terpene--unlike others, I've never had a green pheno in the dozen or so PK plants I've grown outdoors. Always end up with pink, purple and/or maroon buds. Here's one with the darkest flowers (they appear black in sunlight and VERY dark maroon in artificial light):

This gal started out as a trifoliate (whorled phyllotaxy?) and stayed that way until harvest. The buds smelled like salt-water toffee and tasted like strawberry/peppermint...

^Was that black one very slow, with asymmetrical growth? I lost one that started off with very dark leaves, it suffered a snail attack and never recovered.

When you say pink do you mean pistils like below or pink calyxes?

It seems like there is a lot of variation in these every girl has had a unique smell and appearance.

jarmon--I remember the details with this one. She started fast and looked ready at ~7 weeks but I noticed the buds and some leaves continued to darken each day. I waited until they were as dark as in the pics and chopped her at exactly 63 days. This is one of the few asymmetrical plants I've grown that didn't revert to regular growth after it reached maturity.

A couple of phenos did develop pink calyx's--also purple, maroon and what Charlie G calls "fuschia". Just never had a green pheno

PS...All the PK plants I've grown were from the ACE/CBG very 1st release quite a few years ago...
