Well here in Quebec, we can get very high humidity anytime during the grow season, our rain cycles are irregular and can be intense : sometimes we dont get a drop for two weeks then the sky explodes and it rains for 4 days straight. An old grower has been telling me he grew the chitral here since 10 years and even when the other strains got moldy or didnt resist our temperatures some seasons, the chitral buds have always been beautiful and fungus free. He tried the sandstorm too and it did not do very well here : the part of the other morrocan line might not be suited to our temperatures(not as resistant as the pakistani). I might try growing it in my cab one day but i am really focussing on finding some pure chitral kush seeds. Thanks for helping anyway, it is always appreciated

I am currently growing 5 sandstorm about 34 days into flower. They are VERY unique smelling plants. Very Peppery. Two are turning shades of purple and i look to have 2-3 phenos.
Most of them are looking like they have had a pretty serious calcium deficiency. Does anyone know if they need high levels of Calcium? The ppms have been kept around 1200 using floranova. I always keep things on the light side with new plants, but i have been increasing the nutes for a few weeks now and not sure if it has helped. They are the plants with the leaves pointing oddly up. The shorter plants. You can see the damage in its later stages on the back right plant, and earlier on the front right plant. Whadya think?

High! They look quite good IMHO, look's like your growing them in coco soil?? I don't have much experience with Coco, but Sandstorm it's a big eater during middle bloom period, I think Mg it's more important for them than Ca, cause Mg make's the leaves shinne and take this particular green-blueish color with the light reflects. Ca improves good roots system, strong stems and leaves, and they look so healthy. I'll try to add some microelement (Mg, Ca, B, Mo, S, etc) I like so much Alg-a-mic from BioBizz or other Algs based nutrients, that also have high aminoacid quantities.

Well, I understand what you're talking about. But Sandstorm has more vigour, stability and desirable traits than the Pakistan Chitral Kush, also in my experience quite resistent to mold (Bortrytis).
Also the CannaBioGen Chitral line is quite resistent to, but you know if the Bud it's very fat it's normal to get some mold issues.
I've never had problems with mold when I go with Chitral or Sandstorm, also some Danish strains as the ErdPurt from Esbe are very resistent to mold and cold temps you should take a look, and there are the hybrids from Hell too.

hey dudes, i grew out cbg sandstorm this year and took a really stocky healthy short male and bred him to some select sandstorm moms and a few violator kush and dinafem diesel. ive got some good beans from all.
the sandstorm had some purple traits and the ss/diesel are shwoing it already. nothing major but lavender to purple hues .
the sandstorm themselves were excellent plants- mine stayed really short with little sidebranching.

in my opinion, you cant go wrong with these genetics

ya when I would get Naners I would have to put myself on nanner watch. I had a girl do that and I was like 2 weeks before harvest so I sat there and picked off every naner I could find. I did a great job no seeds after harvest and dried. If you catch it in time like this situation you can recover but if you get ball/naners early in it's not worth it.
