P-Bud...Please share what you know about this strain!

im glad ya happy with my two cents.. she's a classic indica.. i would say its a paki or afghani ..

finishes fast , stays short , extra wide leafs & tight nugz with nice violet/purple colors and plenty o hermies and males in the seedline as well as many different smells and grades of frostiness ... much like a landrace  so if ya have seeds theres no way o telling what ya have until you grow them .. :ying:

i had the chance to grew it outdoors in colorado last year and am currently testing the outcross :smoke:

Stix, thanks for the info. I'm looking forward to popping some of these seeds. I hope I get a keeper. Time will tell...SW

Makes me happy to hear about the Purple Paralyzer being around still. I haven't had or seen the P-bud in years, had stumble across a bag of it about 6-7 years ago. Before that I hadn't seen any since the late 90's, she was the first purple bud I ever smoked. It set a high standard with my expectations of purple bud, which I am consistently disappointed in the flavor and potency.

Would get lucky maybe once a year to score a sack, and always seemed to have some seeds. Some batches were great others not so much. I never knew much about her other than it was a Colorado heirloom strain that was grown outdoors in Paonia since the 70's. I had been told by people that the quality was no where near what it used to be and that the line had degraded since the 70-80's.

So happy to see that people have kept holding on to seeds, would love to see this great strain come back in to circulation along with a lot of other great Colorado strains. She was always elusive and hard to get, the batches I smoked were probably nothing like they were back in the day. She did taste great, very strong flavor, and very stoney. Seems like many of the greats that used to be passed around this state are gone now or hiding in the shadows.

Kalyx, thanks for the post. I'm looking forward to growing P=bud. The Dude that gifted the seeds use to grow it and says it's the best smoke he's ever had. He's also the one that did the pollinating of his female. I sure hope he was wise with his male selection that donated the pollen...Something tells me he wasn't though as he's a bit of a knuckle head. Keepin my fingers crossed...SW

Years ago I talked often to a Mod here at ICMag from Paonia. He had a farm up there and grew a few Pbud. He said a few locals still grew the Paonia Purple Paralyzer up there. I hope it is not extinct. It sounds like an Afghan BLD.
