Overwater or Underwater? Drooping Seedlings need help!

Ok so my remaining seedlings are starting to yellow and I think I see some brown spots forming, so I think that means its time to start giving them nutrients. I was planning on giving them Advanced Nutrients Iguana Juice, which is a 3-1-3 mix. Should this be enough nutrients to give my plants for veg?

Also... could someone just confirm that my plants need nutrients, and maybe if there is a calcium problem?

Oh yea... one of my other plants has leaves that are bending upward... sort of reaching up. Is there anything wrong with that?

Take a picture of the top sets of leaves.... what soil mixture do you have them in now?

Cotyledons naturally yellow and drop. Can't stop that.
I do not see yellowing leaves right now.... Those single leaves always have something wrong with them... not sure what that even is.. looks like something has been splashed on them or something.

Hey MyNameStitch,

I've been using straight Fox Farm Ocean Forest with no added perlite for 21 days. I have only been giving them Reverse Osmosis water, but I will have to switch to filtered water soon.

Here are some more pictures of all of my healthy/not almost dead plants

Water and feeding seedlings

With seedlings thier is only a few ways to water and feed, one is with a spray bottle, and the other is to carefully sumerge the plant container into a flat of water, also try useing a Miracle gro moisture control potting seeds with your seedlings. This give you a bit of control of watering and feeding the seedlings.

Stitch, while there is yellowing on the cotyledons, I was asking about the yellow tips on the first set of leaves that you said often have something wrong with them. I'm pretty sure I didn't splash anything on them. Should I just ignore it because those leaves always get screwy?

uhh , doesnt anybody use a moisture meter ? 10 $ at the home depot , works great for me , much more accurate than the lifting method . one of the best dollar values ive ever spent on growing before . I used to kill alot of plants before i got it .

Actually "False" (heh heh haaaa... I love the way your handle works for this comment)
You're wrong sir, It is NOT more accurate than the pot lifting method. All you need to do is shove it in the dirt right next to or into a group of roots, and it'll be showing you a wetter reading than your soil really is because its reading the roots instead of the soil.
Not to mention the root system damage those probes do to the roots from being crammed in on a daily basis. Arrrgh, we had this debate go on for a few days at Overgrow and the vast majority concensus of veteran long term experienced grower members felt the same way...lift the pot method has been and will remain the gold standard of growers for decades. Learn it and I'm sure you'll agree too.

STAY The hell AWAY from moisture control soil; all I have seen is bad things with this mixture. The moisture control holds way to much water for cannabis's likings.

Even if you water her good just once the mixture will hold to much water......
so imo stay away from that mixture.

Funky, yes I would ignore those single bladed leaves cause they always get dropped once the plant gets around 4 sets of leaves. Now if it started to affect the fan leaves then you have a problem.

<<I have been watering them every day... but I have only been spraying the top of the soil about 30 times--- that is about 10ml of water per day>>

This is a common mistake....

often made on very small plants..... its pretty easy to kill them if they go about a day too long.... babies often get cooked because their god(you).... fukked up and used a spray bottle...... do not use a spray bottle

A good suggestion in this case is to bottom water......

sit them in an inch or so of water until they soak up no more.....

if they are overwatered they wont drink......

ONce they have absorbed all the water they can.....

this is the approximate weight you are looking for.....

often growers do not allow the water to absorb and letting it run off......

water slowly.....

even better water slowly with half then water again in a few minutes with the other half...

Magnesium deficiency? The tip and edges of the oldest leaves are affected. That would indicate a mobile nutrient deficiency, and magnesium def. is the most frequent secondary nutrient deficiency.

I used to have mag def. when I switched over to a lime that contained only 5% magnesium (I'm using Maerl now, which has a very high magnesium content). You can add magnesium by spraying epsom salts (MgSO4), but don't add too much if any to the soil, because the sulphur (S) will crash the ph down through the floor.

What is the magnesium content of the soil? What is the soil mix?
