OVERKILL?? Four 1200watt Growzillas 4800watts Total

One of those growzillas on a moving track would be enough light for a 9x7 track, two would maybe be overkill, three or four, you would be the first person to get turned in to leo by your power comp. jk but seriously.

Hello,

I have 2400 in a 3 square meter space. If BLAST_420 is right then i should have 1500 watts for my space. The thing i like to hear is that there´s not such a thing as wasted light.

Best regards,

Aldous

yeah i know its retarded but wtf am i gona do?
its all the space i have.
i accuatally have 10kw from my old commercial op. i used light movers over baby pools in a trailor. but hurricaines and moving has left me with my equipment and a homebox xl 4X4cchamber. ive got a dedicated ac unit a growzilla and a 1050 CFM canfan so ima giv it a shot :teef:

Just use four 600s, yeah money may not be an option, but why waste it eh? 8 sounds like overboard although if you used 4 I would think about setting each timer different say maybe 2 or 3 of the 4 would be on at a time and interchange one every every two hours or so. So if you had two aeroflow systems with two growzilla over each maybe just have one side on then flip the other side on and turn the side that was on before off. This is actually pretty efficient, plants don't need direct light the whole day for maximum production. According to an article in I think High Times they went into detail about how the plants may take an extra 2 weeks to produce the same amount of nug off half the light by integrating timers. and it keeps heat down as well.

I think it may be overkill. I ust might go woth 4 600 watters divided up. two for each aeroflow. Now my dilema is which light to go with. I like the radiant a/c but i was also looking at the cool tubes. anyone have any expeience with either of these?

if you already have growzillas why waste the extra money to get cool tubes? cool tubes are good if you really have a really bad heat issue. Vented air ducts with glass sealed with silicone gel works just as well and I like the way they direct the light better. The cool thing about the cool tubes is that there is less air to circulate so with a good fan those things stay nice and cool and the air is circulated much more efficient. The drawback with the bigger hoods is there is more air in the hood that has to be exchanged and they tend to stay warmer. Go with cool tubes if you got the money.

Really, if you want 2400w of growzilla, then buy another aeroflow or whatever it is you are using. this would be much more efficient. The only thing I really think that much light would do, is dense up your bottom nuggets. I've never heard of anyone using more then 65 square feet, which is a 4 x 4 area for 1kw, or a square meter for a 600watter. Anymore and you could seriously do more harm then good, as you will most likely start getting problems w/ radiant heat, light burn, nutrient sensitivity, etc. the exception might be if you are keeping a steady 1500ppm of CO2, and you knew your strain inside and out and backwards. Indica's can use more light then thier Sativa sisters as well, as a side note.

I think it really comes down to what you are trying to accomplish. Are you trying to maximize space, maximize your light, or find a nice balance. By maximizing your light you are looking for a higher yield, and by maximizing space you will get slightly better herb.

IMHO though, much over 60+ watts is impractical at best, and more like wasteful as far as I've heard, unless you just want to fuck around to see what happens. I guess if you were restricted by space then it might be a better way to get more herb per square foot.

What kind of watt/ft2 yields do you guys get that use 80-100watts per square foot? I am moving to a place where I am restricted to a 100ft2 space, not plants numbers or light, so if I could get more out of my 100ft2 by running 1kw lights over square meters instead of 4 by 4's, then maybe I would give it a shot.

I pulled 22oz out of a 4x2.5x5 space with a 1k Agroson (125w/ft) with a 40 plant SOG in 6x6x6 pots. In my case it was definitely about getting the best yield per sq/ft instead of yield per watt...only 1 time did I get a little light bleaching on 3 leaves and never had any temp issues.
