Border Patrol bust nets $4.1 million in pot

CORPUS CHRISTI -
A massive amount of marijuana was seized by U.S. Border Patrol agents at the Falfurrias checkpoint. More than two tons of pot was found hidden in a load of limes being hauled by a tractor/trailer rig.

The pot was found Thursday, after a drug sniffing dog alerted agents to the trailer. A search turned up the 284 bundles of pot under the load of limes. The marijuana is worth more than $4.1 million. The drive and another person in the rig were arrested.

3,540 Pounds of Marijuana Discovered

(CBS4) MIAMI
A cargo plane from Jamaica, which landed at Miami International Airport late Thursday night, was filled with illegal cargo, according to U.S. Customs officials. The plane held more than 3,500 pounds of marijuana. The street value is worth more than four million dollars.

The marijuana was found by a drug-sniffing dog named Molly, a Labrador Retriever, who wasn’t thrown off the by the strong smell of spices, which were used to try and mask the odor of the illegal drug.

The cargo plane’s manifest said the boxes contained spices and herbs.

No arrests have been made.

I think the Mexican schwag weed had to have been at least somewhat decent at some point. Its the fact that they didn't manicure, dry, store or transport it with any care that made it as terrible as it is. In fact, I've smoked fresh cannabis while in Mexico and it was very good. I'm sure there are plenty of cannabis connoseuirs in Mexico that grow fantastic weed.

there is good mexi and there is bad mexi. It all depends on how greedy they are and also how big they brick it and even where in the bricks the weed comes from. Assuming pot is shit just cause its origin is mexico only implies ignorance to the practices of mexi importers and producers. I have seen 15 pound bricks and larger and the stuff on the outside is shit the inner stuff is pretty damn kill.

Actually, I'm begining to wonder if it was one source's shipment that was split up in the originating country, sent seperate ways to make it to 2 different border entry points. It's been done before with shit like coke, why not herb?......
