Outside air vs indoor air?

I'm under the impression that outdoor air has a higher level of co2 than indoor air? Which leads me to my question, for a 10x10x10 room, would it be best to draw fresh air from the outside via an active intake or will drawing air from another part of the house more than adequate?

the difference is negligible. Indoor air can get stale (if pulling from a small source), so if you can get fresh air, I would go with that.

Fresh air. Indoor air is dry and stale, not near as good as damp outdoor air. I wouldn't vent outdoors though because of the smell.

Either way, don't forget air filters on your intakes. Dust can settle on both lamps and filters, reducing their effectiveness. Penetrate fan motors. Bugs, without predators, can explode in an indoor garden.

I use aquarium filter pads. Some use hosiery, coffee filters ... But, why suck this in if you can avoid it?

I was hoping someone who might have experience with the two system chime in on how it effects the final yield if at all.

Of course it will affect the yield. Fresh air (Co2) is very important to the metabolic processes of the plant. Yes I do have experience with this.

if it wasn't for fan noise, bugs, molds etc...and hot outside air i'd make a properly sized hepa filter set-up and pull outside air.

if you filter outside air, it should be noted that in order to maintain normal pressure in your house, you should also be exhausting outside. if you bring in fresh air, and then exhaust it inside, you are creating positive pressure inside the house and air will leak from whereever it can (cracks around window casings, under doors, etc.)

intake from outside, filters always in place to catch bugs and dust, to the grow, through a carbon scrubber, through the exhaust fan, and then clean air to the outside.

OR

cool your lights with outside air coming in and then going outside. but have your cab cooled with ambient air from inside the house, into ur grow, through a carbon scrubber, through exhaust fan and then exhaust somewhere else inside. doing this will keep you from having a positive pressure inside and will also circulate and scrub ALL the air from inside your home. an added bonus.
