Welcome back to another update on this project.......this past week has shown some exciting developments....no not purple yet....but the true tail signs of the making of some huge ass buds. I have not grown that many strains(probably 12 or so under my belt to this point), but the bud growth on these for 22 days, blows all the others out of the water! If you check out pics of Plants #2/3/6/10 you will see the makings of some foot long + colas! Plant #5 will still yield well, but the buds aren't pack in as tightly. They have lost there stinking skunky smell from Vegg, and now have taken on a very sweet candy grape, sprinkled with a spicy pepper. Can't wait to see how huge these babies are in 6 more weeks!

so far the only person to finish them was wafflehouselove and out of 4 females all 4 showed some sort of purple or pink with 2 of the 4 being prodominantly pink/purple

danm weeds very nice developement. I did remember my purple pheono did show colors at around 3rd maybe 4th wk, i could see the color developing inside the buds. Keep a eye on them =)

Well we are getting close to half way through the flowering period, and things are looking quit fine indeed! Not much new going on, besides the buds developing more. I just got through staking most of the branches, and this week they will be getting hit with the highest nutrient readings for the run. #10 seems to be the rockstar of the bunch so far, as it has it all...looks, size, smell!

Lookin great man! That GDP sure is some great smoke... Ive got the SFV x DPD just started in veg.

Your ladies look absolutely fantastic...the 1k really fattens those nugs up. Ive definitely got this one tagged!

Forgot to mention that I have moved all of these plants into the Ebb & Gro system, as the plants that were using it, got harvested this past week.....so no more hand watering for me. I don't mind doing it, but it is much easier this way. There are a total of nine plants in this shot, as the 5 KGDP x DPD plants are sharing some space with 4 others on the 4 corners...1 wonderfuck...1 sour bubble bx3....1 purple urkle...1 bubba kush....they are hard to see, but they are in there.

Well I am not going to be able to pull all the plants out for photos until Wed, which will be day 40. So I thought I would give a quick room shot of the girls at day 35...which is half way through for them...because of how my work schedule falls, I am going to let them go 70 days, or the other choice would be at 56 days, so I thought the 70 days would be more fun....plus it will give me plenty of time to get a real good flush on them.








Here is a shot of the other half of the room that I just started out....it has been almost a year since I did a run in soil, so I thought I would give some soil in 5 gallon buckets a go. There are....3 Sour Bubble bx3....2 Bubba Kush.....3 Third Dimension.....1 Zorro....3 OG Kush....!

Well it looks like I can post pictures again.....I am not sure why I could not, but it seems to work now.

So without further adoo.....a few of the plants did not like the peak level of nutrients they received a while back, so I have some burnt leaves....yet they are all doing very well. There may possibly be a very small bit of purple starting on some of the lower buds, but not enough to show off at this point. The smell overall has developed a bit of a stinky rotting smell under the sweet peppery grape candy. Buds keep getting bigger, and I have upped the floodings to 3 times a day now, as they are starting to eat alot.

I also thined out many of the fan leaves, and the insides and bottom 1/3 I heavely trimmed, in hopes of getting some more light down to the lower nugs!

Well before I update this thread.....I thought I would tell a bit of a story....

I travel more than the average person for my job, and it is not uncommon for me to be out of town for half the month or more at no certain set times. So this has forced me to become very reliant over the past three years of growing, on such things as timers, pumps, fans, bulbs, ballasts, electricity, and of course that under recognized force LUCK...to get me through as successful of a grow as I can, especially since I am the sole proprietor to my grow op. I have been very lucky over this time, with only a few minor mishaps here and there. So on to the story.....

I come home a few days ago, after being on a job in Orlando for the past 8 days before. I walk in the front door, and the house just reeeeeeeeeeks of weed......YIKES! Now this is extremely uncommon as in never, have I walked in and smelled weed, so I new something was not right from the get go.

I go directly to the floor room, and soon as I open the door expecting to here the cascade of water back into my rez from the chiller, but silence, and the chiller is off..F...ME!

So it is 4pm, and only half way into the dark cycle, but I have to turn the lights on, and see how badly I am screwed....what do I see....?

Well my vent fans for my cool tubes are supposed to look like this....

Plus my 1kHPS over that portion of the room has not been on.

This is what I am guessing that happened……the vent pipe from the cool tube to the 6” fan came loose and fell off….this caused a chain of events…since the cool tube is now not being air cooled, it starts to heat up the room, and because now the room is in the mid 90s instead of the mid 80s, the water chiller on the rez starts to run much more than usual to keep the rez cool. Now since the chiller is running all the time, the strain between the 1KHPS and the ½ horsepower chiller, puts to much of a strain on the circuit breaker, and it trips. The bummer part of this is that the water pumps for the flood and drain of the ebb & gro system are also on this circuit so floodings stop to the plants at this point. Now I know you are thinking why did you have so much on that one circuit….yeah that was a mistake on my part, but it had been that way for over a year without any problems.

So the kind of good part of this is, that this must have only been like this for 2 or maybe 3 days at the max, as all the plants were still alive, but you could tell that they had taken a hit, as many of there fan leaves had started to wilt. One of the plants was worse than the others, as it had started to dry already. I tried for a few days to keep them going, but it was evident that it was time for them to come down at day 56, instead of the 70 I had planned on.

So stayed tuned here, as I will be posting up pics of the plants has I harvested them.

Here is some heavely trimmed plants, as I was getting them ready to hang and dry....no purple on them(well Plant #2 & 5 may have a ting of purple), but some big buds...most of the longer spear buds range from 6" to 13" on plant #10. Plant #5's buds are like rock hard golf balls, it was way different(in a good way) than the other 4 and happened to be the trifolate of the bunch.

I will be posting up detailed smoke reports here in a month or so, once these get cured a bit.

These plants were a joy to grow, and I will be running them all again very soon, as I have vegging cuts of all of them. I want to give them a better run the next time, as I did not finish strong with them. I hit them to hard with nutrients around week 5, which slowed them down a bit, and then the whole grow room meltdown ordeal that happened last week, never let me take them to there full potential.

Well just when ya thought this thread may be wrapping up....NOT!

Vegged Clones of Plants #2/3/6/10 go into flowering tonight. Plant #5 will make the next flower cycle in 5 weeks or so as it was still to small.

Major difference on this run is that these 4 are not topped this time. I want to see some massive main colas! I also have a better understanding of there nutrient limits, so I am hoping this will top the last run.

8wks... 1-2weeks(*3-2-1*) , 3-5-weeks(*2-2-2*) , 5-7weeks(*1-2-3*) , 8/9 .. flush! ... & then hang those Fat ladies !!!!
