Outdoor vs Indoor Potency?

if it's preference that's another story lol. this IS the season for outdoor. if grown well and not commercially...the only way to tell is with a Mass Spectrometer and testing the THC content with the same pheno, same grower and same season. I usually just judge by looking at the density and amount of trichs. I get more with indoor

obviously the strain has to be adapted to the climate your in...reread your post....i read it wrong...but biggist reason laws prevent some of us us from being outdoor growers..especially in the city...and if you grow on another mans land you will get ripped.

I'm also of the opinion that outdoor grown plants produce bud with a better high than indoor bud....a high with more complexity and more cerebrally enlightening, trippier...the Sun is what makes the high better.....but the difference is subtle

the difference in the quality of the high between indoor and outdoor bud is more noticeable with long flowering strains rather than with a 55 day hybrid.

true, hybrids an indicas kick ass indoor. but sativas are great outdoor....but you can still grow a killer KALI MIST indoor

I think there is very little difference in the actual potency between indo and outdoor....the subtle difference is in the greater complexity of the high for sun grown buds .....

I agree, just something about the sun that adds to the high I've found, but of course a lot does depend on genetics and environment. Being in Southern California I have a great environment for outdoor plants though. Also the size/yield of outdoor plants, especially in the ground if left unchecked, is rather tremendous.

there is so much indoor vs outdoor talk. the control of environment in indoor is a big bonus, but the sun is so much more intense than any HID.
so lets approach this logically.
a) all bud is good
b) outdoor bud can be equal to indoor bud (most cases)

Therefore, outdoor bud and indoor bud, are both very good!

I think outdoor bud is the best overall if grown right and left to mature. There is definetly a difference in outdoor to indoor. I can tell if it's outdoor right away by the way it smells. It has that natural smell to it. Also appearence is alittle different too. I say potency wise both are the same depending on how grown of course. Personally I think there isn't nothing better then outdoor organic cannabis. Grown where it's meant to be grown.

It's the most sought after smoke of the whole year...it's the kind you put in the freezer, for the long cold winter !!!
