these are my favorites outdoors, also in ky. magus genetics-biddy early, durban poision if u can find it,nirvana-pure power plant,ghs-the church.this year i may have found my favorite, female seeds.nl-grapefruit.thought it would be hard to beat biddy early, but these grapefruits have impressed me big time.these plants get huge.have handled 95 degree plus temps without the first problem.also plants began flowering last week of july,so finishing should nt be any problem.have never smoked grapefruit, but if it is as good as people claim it to be you cant go wrong with this strain.

Kentucky also here, I like these three from Ace Seeds:

Panama - about third week October
Orient Express - about second week October
China Yunnan - about end of September

All three are big yielders and easy to grow, personal fave is the Panama

I'm at about the 40 degree lattitude in the midwest.

Strains I've grown outdoors:

California Orange (Indica Pheno)- 3rd week Sept

Jack Herer x Afghan- 2nd week Oct

White Russian x Afghan- 1st week Oct

Strains I'm growing this year:

Pineapple Chunk (C99 x Deep Chunk)- Late Sept

Strawberry Diesel (Indica Pheno)- Mid Sept

Strawberry Diesel (Sativa Pheno)- Mid Oct

Strawberry Chunk (Strawberry Diesel x Deep Chunk)- Early Oct

Sour Cali- Mid Oct

I prefer strains that finish in Sept. I really don't like going into October because of frost hazards and hunters. Alot of people start going into the woods come Oct due to deer hunting and other hunting. Anything that finishes in September is a plus where I live and is what I look for in outdoor strains.

wow kentucky w/so many hardcore OD growers!

jagdog3 what date did your power plant finish? was it Dutch passions or nirvana's? And prob best topped early huh? got some of nirvana's I was thinking about running a seedcrop indoors this winter but have several favorites and somewhat limited indoor space. I would love to keep in touch w/few of you guys mabey interested in trades next spring. This sounds kinda far fetched but it would be REALLY cool to get a small group interested to get together.but long ways away anyway Really happy to see the replies and suggestions of so many from midwest!

my power plant was from nirvana.last year it would have finished around third week of september, but leo harvested it a little early for me.this year its flowering about 2 to 3 weeks later for some reason.hopefuly ill get to harvest it this year.grapefruit im growing started flowering at least couple weeks before ppp.

crf I did have NG's timewarp up until I ost 'em to dear, but did get good germ rate and seemed very healthy. greenlifeseeds has a good outdoor breeders pack of 12bonkers,12timewarp,12Avalon(I substituted diablo for avalon) for about $180. not the best buy but good genetics!
