That was the first thing I tried. Didn't appear to have any effect. Perhaps the plant was too far along or it is some other type of fungus entirely.

pics will come soon. noticed that the "scales" were maybe just a hearty stem bc ive noticed it on plants prior with same look to em. but others are fucked.

thanks guys

how many times did you soil drench?? i used 1/4 cup + 4 teaspoon per 32 gal drum and drenched with 3-5 gal per pot. I used it twice.

The plant that I lost, I soil drenched with actinovate once. That plant was showing the symptoms of Pythium. The rot was in the crown of the stem and you could see the roots rotting away. Perhaps if i had noticed it sooner the actinovate would have worked. The day after I drenched it, it took a turn for the worse. I believe that was not a result of the actinovate, but rather a result of drowning the already wet with more liquid.

The plant you see in the pics above has not had a soil drench yet. I gave it a foliar with actinovate and Agri-Fos. As you can see i cut the damaged branch today.

Probably a good idea to water in some actinovate in all the smart pots in the greenhouse....before it strikes again.

ill believe that its the only thing on the market that will treat fusarium when your real rump is your avatar. any reason you say that other than that you are just happy that it worked for you. lol

once it gets to a certain point of "bad" i dont think anything exists as a fix. fortunately in the future you can be preventative and/or check on em frequently.

unfortunately this isn't the type of thing anyone wants to do a control experiment indoor. rightfully so. this thread is important. all opinions are needed. lots of losses due to this.

Mycostop Biofungicide is also labeled for fusarium, but in reading about it, it seems to be more of a preventative treatment used on seedlings or clones, than a curative treatment for large plants. anyone have any experience with mycostop..please chime in.

A lot of people now use mycostop for fusarium wilt. If you catch it early enough you can beat it but usually by the time you notice the wilt the plant is on it's way to dying. Still a good preventive.

If stem rot is your problem you can spray a water/bleach or water/hydrogen peroxide solution at 50/50% ratio on the infected stem with a simple spray bottle. The combination of hydrogen peroxide and bleach with neutralize, kill, and clean fungus or mold on the rotting stem or branch. If it's bad you may want to cut the branch and seal the wound.

Which Actinovate did they say to use. Looks like they have AG, SP, STP, and Lawn and Garden

They all have the same description on the website.

Question answered... they are all the same. but labeled differently. use 6oz per 100 gallons. water to the point of saturation w/o runoff.

1tsp / 2 gallons water for smaller qty.

I think I will try an actinovate and mycostop combo cocktail.

We know it is fungus, fusarium, pythium, etc..... now can someone just tell me where they hell it comes from so i can avoid that in the future... that would be helpful.

ok weednazi and other following let me know what you think of these, or if you can even see em bc sometimes they dont show up on here:

note that the one with the stem is different from all the others and the one with the nute burn is also different from the others. the one with the stem is taken at the bottom and the remainder of that plant is all green and lush without that weird bark shit on it.

thanks and lemme know what ya'll think

Looks like classic nute burn to me. upturned burnt leaves.

Your stem looks fine... actually looks very healthy.

Mycostop is what I have heard for the fusarium. I have lost a few branches and when they go I simply twist them out and move on. Usually it is the lower branches so I make an effort to keep the bottom of the plants clean and out of the dirt. I think once you have a problem it is generally too late.

In the future I think you can prevent some of this by encouraging good fungus and bacteria to thrive in your soil. This will make it harder for the bad guys to compete. Feed teas and promote an active and living soil.

I completely agree with you as when you already have the wilt on the top of the branch, the cellular tissue is already damaged and dried out. Nothing you throw at it can bring it back... Just cut it off. Mycostop and Actinovate are definite products I will be applying as a preventative when I plant in the future.
