Outdoor seed run for season 2011

i think bagging the males up fucked with the pollen and so i only got like 5 seeds from each branch i pollinated lol.

When i have let males flower i have just put them in a draught free room under the window. I collect the pollen in a brown paper bag. Having said that, i use the pollen pretty soon usually. It has kept for a couple of weeks in the fridge in brown paper.

I have never had a problem with accidental pollination even though the room im flowering in and the room that has the male under the window are only across the hall from each other.

btw,
Rocket,
your plants are lookin really good man.
Id be quite interested to know which HFH are auto or semi auto.

Hi Mossy

Im just being on the safe side .... it's maybe over kill.. but i want true crosses. I have loads of males it seems. The Early girl/MMxGG is as fast a showing plant ive ever seen oh and i spotted a HFH hashplant2 female today ,Woop woop.

I think most of the HFH strains are semi-auto ... the EG/MMxGG is from a well respected outdoor grower/breeder on these boards... looks like a good strain so far :)

Hi GSS

Yep these outdoor stains are real easy to grow they dont need much looking after at all .... my new favourite is the HFH Scottish ..if a plant could be cute ..then these are cute lol, small and well formed with a good colour to them what more could you ask really.
uhhhhhh feed them selfs!lol:tiphat:

Well, i germinated my Hashplant2's 12 out of 13, im happy with that.
Only prob was, i had a bag of the starting to become notorious J Arthur Bowers left on one side, when i opened it clouds of sciarid flys came out.

Ive had a major prob with fungus gnats for a while and maybe this is where i keep getting them from, my plants have 2 inch of sand on top to keep the little buggers out. I still have a few getting in and out of the drain holes but its much much better than it was.

So, i was in a bit of a quandry, 12 cracked seeds and no muck to put them in, so i used some old rockwool i had in a box, made a very weak mix with the biobizz to keep them going while i get some soil.

Hi rocket mate. Looking good, hope you can get a bit more light on to them soon, look wee bit stretched, but looking great, crossing those danish strains is a great idea, weed that will be very mold resistant and early. thats the game. touch wood this grow goes to plan. should have tons of seed for this year. i did an autoak47 seed run about 3 years ago.well worth it with the amount of seeds u will get
all the best mate with it

There are better composts than JAB but if it`s all you have sterilise it , that will kill ANY bugs . 2LT in a pyrex bowl in the microwave for 1 to 1 1/2mins , stop halfway through & give it a stir . You may have to add a bit of sharp sand to it to aid wetting/drainage .

mosstrooper, you could try tights/stockings stretched over bottom of pots to stop that access through drainage holes.

soz for thread jump rocket :)

Indeed so, but i live very very far from big shops that sell good compost at affordable prices.

Its just a bag that was left over from last summer, no doubt because its shite. Didnt think of microwaving it, it went on the tattie patch as soon as i saw fungus gnats. Hopefully ill be able to get something a bit fresher at the weekend.

Excellent thought, that should do it, im sure their life cycle cant be that long. I dont want them getting into my HFH Hashplant pots. Ill probably use horticultural fleece and gaffer tape.

hi mossy

not to worry i have two female EG/MM x GG waiting to get pollenated... but the male's are ahead of the game and i'll have to start collecting pollen very soon by the looks of it . the females arent big enough bud wise to pollenate yet week 3-4 would be ideal for pollenating them.

i'll pull them out the the room and get a group photo taken of male's and female's in a decent light. ;)

I was in the town today, and i noticed that the pound shop is selling collapsible plastic buckets, might be handy for stealthy watering on a casual walk through the woods.

He/She's dead cut up and put in the freezer till disposal time. My other EE/MMxGG (female) is looking good for a cross as she show's very early and is ahead of the rest in developing calyx's.

heck yea man.people arre staring to graduate towards longer auto but i think shorter is better but thats just my thinking.lol most women will not agree with me on that;).lol peace
