Yes that sounds like a plan!

Will be interesting as whatever strains you get to grow well will be suited to my climes.

When you start the flowering ferts consider a soluble aspirin say for every 5 litres of liquid... the sprays have limited effectivness as they wash off after a good rain... however neem oil should stick around a bit longer and has the double benefit of sorting out any insect pests...

I am sure you will have some success!

Thanks silver, this spot gets all day sun and gets a nice breeze too :) I was planning on trimming the lower branches at the end of the month when i give them there flowering feed.I 'm expecting casualties thats why i planted a great variation of different strains, hoping to find something that works in our climate without turning into a pile of mould.Next year the search will widen as i plan on trying out some danish strains.

hi jgp looking good
Is that some mini bud's i spotted on the durban poison:biggrin:
Am going to do zed's leb27 and some auto's but the list isnt fnalised yet.

I feel ya on the mold thing i would warn you on the passion 1 tho as mine turned to mold the end of august but that was 10 years ago so they must have improved the strain by now.. no doubt

hope ya get some of them finnished ..but the weather has been shocking here for week's now ...it sucks .
Anyway good luck JGP ;)

Due to logistics and stealth spaying asprin every time it rains is out of the question I will look into neem oil though.I read somewhere that spraying with milk works as it contains mould fighting bacteria.Any ideas on this as neem oil is rather expensive?

I think there just preflowers rocket flowering shouldn't be too far away though.Leb27 sounds tastey rocket should be good for a september finish.Like you rocket i've grew passion1 out before and one time they moulded bad, i put this down to location though as they were getting little sun and wind.Hoping the weather improves also........ only seen sun once this month :badday: Goodluck with yours :thank you:

Yeah the spraying is a bitch as it must be after every heavy rain... but the aspirin can be given to the plants in the feed, not sprayed.

One dose is said to last weeks. It stimulates the plants natural defense mechanisms... in fact lots (maybe all?) plants produce their own aspirin when stressed. By adding it we give em a turbo boost.

The milk some say works. Others say waste of time. I think its more applicable to greenhouse/indoor situations where you wont get it rained off. Lacto B is handy to have around and is very easy to make. Have a look in the organic forum for the recipe. Its made with milk and rice water.

Neem is excellent. It is expensive but you dont need much per dose. 1 tsp in a litre of water is plenty. If sprayed correctly it will form a film on your plants that will keep the mould down and sucking insects well dead. A weekly application would be good. It has many medical applications for us humans too.

I have 5 litres i bought 2 years ago and have 2/3 left.

Again i would like to make it clear all of these defenses are MUCH better as preventatives and not a cure once infected.

Happy growing!

Hi jgp
Good to see your auto's are doing good in this crap weather we have had of late, my big devil's come down on monday or tuesday because of bud rot ..

The fast buds are a good smoke ,it tastes sweet/fruity/spicy and smells like diesel .The high lasts a long time but the yield aint so good but you cant win them all .... so there's proof you can grow good weed in scotland it's just the lack of sun that could make it a bumper crop ;)

Heres a pic of the fast bud ...there's loads of trichomes so happy days ;)

Those fastbuds look tastey rocket :canabis: i always find outdoor grown weed smokes better than indoors.Nice work pulling a harvest home in our crappy climate.

well the strains are good its just our rainy/overcast climate that induces bud rot .
These spanish seeds would be better grown in a drier climate than ours but you can still get good bud off them ..so every cloud and all that ;)
