outdoor autos cloudy damp start

Help this noob? It was warm and sunny. As soon as my auto beans cracked, it has been cool and overcast. 10 days of clouds 70% of the time. They are getting light filtered through clouds. they look good but will this hurt the yield? Anybody have this happen before? Maybe somebody in the pacific NW or London (cool wet climate)? How will this effect the grow?

Depends on what strain. I had a snow ryder auto one year that only received 6 hours of direct sunlight a day but still yielded rock hard buds.

Even with filtered sunshine, it should be ok. Pray for warmer temps! I've started several in cool weather and several being a sativa dom, my F:M ratio was a bit lower. Usually have 75/25 F:M ratio. If REALLY stressed, it can sometime 'herm'....nature's way for self preservation.
Perhaps start with indica hybrid- they tend to adapt to cooler temps (or so my experience as shown). Luckily, longer days of summer coming!! Good luck, slapdaddy!!

Thanks aridbud. I saw them today. Not stressed, but just as you say, they need warm sunshine. Just in case you are interested, I have auto Sweettooth, Think Different, and Afgahn Kush Ryder, all feminized. Thanks again.

Way to grow, slapdaddy!!! Curious how Think Different will turn out. That's on my (short) list to grow this summer.

if it's overcast it's good to make sure the little ones get some breeze to strengthen the stems if they start stretching. then if theres an ounce of sun then you stick them out in it even if it's windy..

had the same thing with 3, 2-3 weekers. looking a bit green and stalky i set them under a fan just to give a bit of movement and stoppped watering. they toughened up a bit in the absence of light and now seem mighty after 3 more weeks. critical+ auto and wembley/critical+ autos.

How's everything growing now, Slapdad?? By now filtered rays should help your plants, soil warmer, too! Planted about a dozen AF's on Mother's Day 5/12....4 are already peeping up, and see where 6 more pushing up the soil in 5 g. buckets!

There's just something about warmth, warm soil and el sol!!! Kinda like a day at the beach with beer in hand....that's what the hypocotyl does when it emerges & starts eyeing the sky!!!

Yeah. They are taking off now. I just wonder what they would have done with a faster start. I havent seen any of those bitches drinkin beer yet though. Good luck with your project
