Outdoor 2010 - from scratch

if you plan on growing anything this upcoming season you might want to work on your karma, if ive learned anything you absolutly reap what you sow.

I don't know where darby got that, that I wanted to clone AFs. I did say something about growing a few out for seed but I wasn't even considering AFs when I started the thread. Thanks for taking his side tho! :ban:

I am not trying ot take anyone's side, but I can tell you that the story that you started out with sounds like a story that would be told by someone who got busted about how they started out.

Unless you wanna end up either broke or busted at the end of next season, you should probably try to use the advice of the people on here, because so far it seems a lot better.

dont know why you think that i have taken a "side" opposite from yours? Only reason I thought you were going to try to clone autos was based on your earlier posts about how you wish to do some cloning. And that you were hauling gear out in the field to do so. I was just looking at what I thought was your big picture so to speak.

Anyway, cloning of autos a side, your plan is still a waste of time due to the small amount you wish to pull in. 25 ozs is roughly a pound and a half of bud. Outdoor growing has a lot that can go wrong, and for you if you lose even 10 plants to the elements, animals, rippers, insects, or whatever, is a big hit to your profits in the end.

Once you get a dried product how much are you going to charge per ounce? Or are ya gonna sell smaller quantities than that? How much are you planning on spending on supplies to harvest 14gs per plant? Camping out for a grow that small is laughable really.

I think you have too much free time on your hands. Perhaps you should just get a job and do your auto run on the side. Ya don't need much more than an overgrown field, your nutes, and some small fences to keep the rabbits and such out. Seriously, you could do maybe two or three runs a season. Even that idea seems better than sittin and stinkin' in the woods in summer watching a pound and a half of pot grow. If you grew out 20 or 30 lbs or more, than yeah, thats worth a season of hardship. 20-30 lbs could make you 40 to 60k with enough smoke left over for you to enjoy yourself. Thats what Im talking about.

If your going to mess around with autos, you will require copious amounts of female seeds. This means you need to produce a feminized seed batch before you can attempt your outdoor grow. Otherwise you are faced with a very high seed bill.

On a positive note: these varieties of cannabis reduce the exposure of growers tremendously as they can finish before any aerial detection begins. Thus giving growers the opportunity to make up for the low yield in numbers.

-This is good for an early harvest but should remain as your supplementary harvest.
-Will be doing this next summer, #1 will be acquiring good female seeds.

For budget growers any synthetic fertilizer is the best option. Depending on your watering situation, you should find a way to implement such feedings. Organics can become expensive even on the low-end. Just be sure to give them some additives or flower boosters later on in flowering.

Sanchez, Best of luck on your outdoor grow. Organics are the best but becareful using them on a gurellia grow. animals love all kinds of shit. (punn intened) I also agree though that chicken manure is some of the all around best organic ferts. N-P-k around 7-4-3. depending on what the chicken was fed. I would amend the soil first then let it sit for a few weeks so any chance of critters is low. my biggest outdoor concern is insects and animals much more than thieves or leos. Slugs rank the worst on the list in the East Coast. Deer coming in a close second.
