OG- what kind of yields are you getting per plant? Also, what is the Ortega smoking experience like?

All depends on veg time and trim styles..

If you prune alot of the lower branches you get a huge monstorus top cola..

If pruned somewhat like mine... You get a few extra colas at the expense of making the main cola smaller..

This is def. a heavyweight contender... look at LUI and why it so successful... its not cuz of the sweet tooth i'll say that.

Ive read and seen about this one for years. LUV the indicas and remember reading this is a really relaxing mellow one with great anti-anxiety qualities.

Is this strain clone only or is is avail in seed form? Ive seen lots of people talk about growing it, but never seen any 'pure' beans.

I know theres an ortega pheno in LUI n all, btu no ortega seeds anywhere??

Maybe at one point in time Neville had some? Any background on this strain?

OG-- I remember hangin with Breeder Steve and Red in Switzerland and one of my favorite plants they had were the Ortegas--hands down!!! They had original Neville stock that had a unique growth structure, size and bud composition I will never forget.

LOL Steve was trying to get us to send him the cut back as he lost it , but packages to Canada w/ cuts did not have a lot of success.....besides Steve was shisty about sending us cuts, but wanted us to send him strains.... Ya Ortega is in Black Domina along with a couple other strain I think BD is a 3-way I have it in my notes somewhere LOL....

I grew ortega a year ago, it was one of the best plants in my outdoor garden. The stone was as you say, very relaxing and anti anxiety. Mellow indica stone, potent and spacey.

Folks like it better than romulan around here.

It'll get as big as you want it to pretty much... it's a huge vigorous plant..

Doesnt stretch much in flower at all though.. it'd be great to be kept even smaller with lots of pruning focusing everything on the main cola... which can get ridiculously huge..

Stupidly big I am serious the nugs get at least twice as big as any other strain I have grown including SCBB...I have pictures somewhere of my friend O.G.'s , but it is lost in the mix of a millions pics one day I'll got through them and organize them...

I agree there is no better SOG plant then Ortega and I do usually grow it single cola to with all the focus on the main nug.....
