Thanks BadPenny! Great posts! Keep them coming please
By the way, Google Earth is a huge and useful tool for dealing with boundary issues (the measuring tool is a life saver!)
I want to warn people about using "Canna Zoning" geospatail tool, the very young guy (in his early 20's) running it is very shady! And his work is subpar. Not only that, he charges WAY too much for his tool. I started using it for WA when he first launched, when it was $15 suggested donation, then, it went to $50 per month, then, it went to $100 per month, heck, now it's likely $500 per month if he keeps his trend going.
The owner and programmer of Canna Zone is very rude and likes to hurl insults and curse words when his pricing scheme and quality of his tool are rightfully questioned.
I suggest everyone stays far, far from him! Right now I don't think he has OR maping setup, but I assume he will, just like he has for WA.
I find the best way to deal with boundary issues is using Google Earth and state lists of schools, etc., including town/county zoning maps; and using Google Earth to look for things that may be too close (like a public park or arcade). It's really quite easy to do it that way, and I find the results are better than using Canna Zoning (which is error prone).
