Hi all. Been a hot minute since I did a diary so I thought lets document this one. Hit my 10 year anniversary of holding this GG#4 cut that I got from a PNW dispensary waaay back in the day. Pretty proud of myself for holding it this long. Had a couple close calls and almost lost it but luck was on my side...
This absolutely the REAL DEAL GG#4. I have grown it sooo many times over those 10 years I have forgotten the amount. It is my favorite strain of all time. I will admit I don't try other stuff anymore so I may be way out of touch. I have grown so long for myself that I just don't feel the need to go buy stuff that I don't know how its been grown. Plus its hella expensive to do that.
That said I am going to run a new strain next go with some seeds I won here in a competition. Called KillerGlue. (AK47 x GG4). Should be interesting.
Here we go! The room. I am sure lots of you have seen this room that follow me here but here is a little run down for the new peeps. I grow in RDWC. I use a DIY Undercurrent build. Huge DIY guy here. Active Aqua Chiller, air pump and water pump. Space heater and Blue Lab Ph meter is the equipment I use. DIY 660 watt LED light with 2 Meanwell drivers and Samsung and Cree red chips. I love it. Built it like 5 years ago now or so...running smoothly.

Just a few minutes from putting the plants in. Getting the parameters of the room and water correct first.
Here are the 2 girls.

In my veg tent under a old t-5 4 bulb light. They are going to blow up here real quick. Moving from a Flood and Drain setup to the RDWC. I do love F and D....it so easy.
Be back with more as we progress. This is all going on in real time right now so it will take the full 10 weeks or so to finish this out. Thanks for watching along.
Have a sweet day. Peace, negative.

Hi all. Got the ladies transplanted tonight. So easy to do. Just really have to put the 8 inch net pots into the 8 gallon modules and your done...easiest transplant ever!
Some nice root porn...

Got them in and rocking. I used to do a 4 site but it was to much for this 4x5 room. Made getting at stuff hard.

This might not be the most astetic grow room ever but it sure is effective. I have to work with the room I have. Love to have a basement or garage to expand into and really sweeten up the look of space.
Parameters are right where I want them.

I use Jacks 321. Simple, effective and oh so cheap. Especially so since I purchased mine way back in 2021. Still have tons left of both A and B. I got the 25 pounders..hehe.
Going to work on popping the trellis in there right away. Get them growing where I want them to. Glue likes to get jiggy in flower with the stretch so I have a 3 layer system I use.
Have a sweet day all. Peace, negative.

Hi all. Got the ladies all netted up. I also use a bit of Silica during this time to strengthen up the stalks. Let them beef up for a week or so then take some clones...again for like the 50th time with this strain. I have not used a Mother plant. I did that for a bit at first....but I have taken clones of clones of clones forever with this strain. I still feel like it is very much like the original. Still comes out like the first ones did. Gassy and white.

Hitting them with about 315 PPFD as per my cheap phone app...works well enough for me. Don't need to be exact just like to know about where I am at. We will start easy with them and move up over the next week. These numbers will be near 1000 when we go 12/12. Got to be a little easy on them transitioning to the big LED light.

Be back in about a week with some clone taking and progress on the girls here in the big room.
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

Hi all. Here we are 5 days later and there has been some bushing up as I say. Not much height increase because I am tucking them down all the time. No topping at all on these. Just going to keep tucking them till the bottom branches catch up then flip. Running at 1.0 EC right now. Jacks 321.

Got some nice bigger than hand sized fans...woot!
IMG_9267 - Copy.JPG

Room shot. Little empty yet but that will change quickly. GG4 will shoot up 3 times its size in flower if left to itself. Light intensity is up to 400 now on 18/6 light schedule.

Be looking at taking clones this weekend sometime and flipping Monday to flower. Things are going pretty smoothly here.
Have a sweet day. Peace, negative.

Looks like you got all the bases covered
Pulling up a bucket for the show.
I held the gg4 for quiet a while too. Wish I still had it especially with Josey no longer with us.
Rip bro.

Thanks for the nice comments guys. The room works well. I am sometimes the limiting factor...lol. I have used the equipment I have for many years now and It does the job well.
I had a run many years ago with the Glue that completely seeded on me. I have no real idea how or why. No pollen was around so I can only guess something to do with light leaks or stresses. It gave me hundreds of seeds. I kept most and have actually grown 1 out in a diary. It was exactly the same as the ones right next to it except for size. Makes me confident that I basically have a seed version of the original. I know there may be a bit of variation but I do have hundreds. If I even do lose her do to accident I will try the seeds for sure.
Be back in a couple days with some taking clone shots and the beginning of flower time.
Have a great day all. Peace, negative.

Of it pollinated herself they should be nearly all fem seeds.
A lot of plants can throw a sneaky early flower,
Hidden at the bottom branches, very easy to miss,
Specially sog style with many smaller plants.

The few that I have grown to maturity have all been females. It was a grow when they were extremely crowded and I could barely get to the back couple. I saw a nanner here and there and thought no big deal. If you remember the original lines of the Glue, Josey got so pissed at the hermie thing that's why he gave it to Marrdog to work...he was done with it. I have never had another Glue grow like that tho and all have been seed free. Happy accidents are cool.
Have a sweet day. Peace, negative.
