there is a couple of places that rent bikes. the one off dam square is the one i use. costs 7 euro a day, for the cheapest back pedal brake model. the bike has 2 locks with it and if you rent the cheap model and use both locks like they show you, then you don't have to worry about it getting nicked. there is an optional insurance if you like? or if you rent a more flashy bike.
it might be possible to find a bike rental thats cheaper, but that one is right in the center which is nice.

I would think I'd want a cheap bike if anything just to reduce the chance that someone will want to take it. If bike theft is an issue there then I say stick w/something that isn't very special

And junkies sell bikes for 5-15euros aswell, but why support the crime while visiting...
I've found that De Republijk at harleem/Westerpark is a nice place with ok and easy daytime thai, and some other white stuff of fine quality. (As most coffeeshop weed it s a bit wetter than I like.)
But back to the matter now:
-I'd really like to know the setting, as I need to plan a lot to get to go there. (Permission to leave my country, so to speak).
Is the events open to anyone of us IC'ers or just an exclusive bunch of members?

Right, I need to get my hotel and flights booked, and I'm gonna get a ticket for the skatalites, looking forward to meeting up with as many fellowe ICers as possible. I'll be bringing some seeds to share about.
