944, actually not that much stink yet, but she smells much like she did last time; creamy milk, cardamom, saffron, piney and hashy.

I think I might clock in Gelado.. Always nice to see a classic or two mixed in with some modern hybrids.. Best of luck to you..

Thanks KB! Fingers crossed on the Sour Mist; hope I get at least one sprout as it was supposed to be a great strain!

The Satori is still stretching; everything is filling out and fattening up every day (aside from the newest IC clone, which I topped today). I hope the Satori stops stretching soon as I'm worried she's going to grow too close to the light. Maybe I'll rotate her away from the center and closer the wall if she keeps stretching. The Ice Cream on the other hand has plenty of space to grow longer colas.

I think I see some slight tip burn from the Plagron AlgaBloom on the big Ice Cream and Skunk, so I'll lay off on fertilizing for a few days and just feed with pHed water. I'll give them more worm castings/compost/guano later in the week. I think my yield may be up 30% over my last run because of feeding later into flowering and the new bulb.

Gelado,
I'd cut the N completely on the Satoris for a while. Mine seemed to be light feeders thru out. Good luck. -granger

Granger, I know what Mandala says about their strains being light feeders, but my Satori is the only plant showing no (mild) signs of overfeeding! One heck of a tough, vigorous plant!

Now, that being said, I'm cutting out the feeding for at least a week; the compost treatment is just for soil bennies. I may not even do that. I just gave them some water; it's nice watching them swell day by day. I have to just let them be and do their thing now!

Still waiting for the Sour Mists to pop. I had a dig around and one seed is just showing a taproot and another hadn't done anything yet. Fingers crossed, but I don't think they'll sprout.

I just put a feminized Durga Mata seed into a separate cup of fresh seed starting mix. DM seems to be out of stock everywhere now, and I want to be done with my grow before I need the air conditioning on, so I decided to go with a pure indica. It should be nice medicine too.

Smoked some of my autoflowering White Russian in a RAW organic paper; great taste and high. After curing for eight months or so, she tastes like sweet, ripe mangoes. Even the smoke is sweet and ripe.

Well, it looks like my last feed was too strong--I gave them a double strength feed of the AlgaBloom and added enough pH down for a regular dose of the Plagron. Well, the directions say to use up to 4 ml per liter; since my medium is already fertilized, I've been feeding at 1 ml per liter. I gave them 1.25, and then 2 ml (two consecutive days). Both the Satori and Skunk show a little of the dreaded CLAW. Watered both with water that was slightly higher in pH than normal and I'm hoping for the best now. I still need to let my medium dry out a little too; I've been watering too much. For the next week or so I'm only going to water just enough to moisten the top of the soil.

EDIT: It looks like 'the claw' is a symptom of nitrogen toxicity rather than pH. I'm going to water very lightly with a little molasses and sucanat tomorrow as this ties up soil N from my reading; I won't use any pH down as molasses already lowers pH quite significantly.

EDIT: Watered in molasses and sucanat; they look better after giving them clear water yesterday. I hope they look better tomorrow. They can take a lot of water becase of all the coco in the mix, but I know my medium is definitely wetter than it should be, even if they don't look overwatered. They are still fattening up nicely, though, and the Satori is still stretching. It's a little cooler today, so I dropped the light ever so slightly. The Satori and Ice Cream clones I have vegging are rooting well; I gave them some water to slow them down a little, and they are 5-6" away from the bulbs too. I don't want them to get rootbound as I want to use them as moms, not flower them.

The DM has split in the seed starting mix and should put out a tap root overnight. No go on the Sour Mists yet though.

Things are starting to smell sweet; when leaving my room, I smelled a lingering aroma in the air since I had the tent open. When the tent is closed, there is no smell whatsoever.

Was going to drop the light today, but the Satori has grown a little more. It's cooler today than it was yesterday, so I thought I could lower the light, but no luck. Mama Satori wants to hog the HPS!

The plants are still very green, but growing and filling out. I may have to flush; I'll give them a few days and see. I don't want to prolong flowering and increase the leaf to pistil ratio. For now, they're getting 1.5 qt of water among all of them (13 gallons of medium) once a day to keep the soil moist on top, and the occasional hit of molasses.

After lights out, I noticed my girls look VERY green. I'm going to flush them all with gallons of weak nuted water today; sucks, but they're definitely overfertilized. Plagron recommend up to 4 ml per liter. I'm going to flush with 0.5ml per liter and hope for the best!

Flush complete--gave them 100% of their volume of pH 6.8 water that I warmed up to around 75 degrees. No nutes. Despite the overnuting, they look pretty good (too green, a few burned leaves, handful of curled leaves on the Skunk and Satori, but aside from that, they're fine).

I found a little nematode/worm looking thing munching on my Durga Mata seed. I saw some in the Sour Mist pot, but thought my eyes were just playing tricks on me. No Sour Mist sprouts yet, and with critters in the soil, it seems unlikely. I already chucked three Sour Mist beans because they were rotting away internally.

I just sterilized the DM soil with boiling water and planted my last Durga Mata bean. I won't touch this bean until it germs; I was messing with the other one and the Sour Mists too much.

Lots of beginner mistakes on this grow that I made as far back as 95...starting seeds in medium that was too wet, messing with the seeds, and overfertilizing. I guess I just get too eager for results. It always costs me seeds and yield, and perhaps most importantly of all, quality. Hopefully on my next grow I remember what I learned (again) during this one. All stepping stones on the road to better smoke. :)

Well, the beauty of having all that coco in the mix is the plants didn't look overwatered for more than a few hours! By lights out yesterday all of them were praying to the light. :)

Everything looks much better today, and appears to be growing faster, especially one of the clones. I think it will flower and finish at 14-15". The Satori continues to bud upwards, but it's not stretching anymore, just packing on floral clusters. Everything looks very sparkly and it's getting stinky now; I think the humidity spiked because of the flushing and my filter doesn't appear to be able to keep up, even with a dehumidifer running. Hopefully once the pots dry out some, the humidity in the tent will fall again. It doesnt' help that it's cold and wet here either; the humidity outside is about as high as it can get.

The Skunk is really getting frosty; even the underside of some of the bud leaves are just glistening with rows of trichs. Still quite a while to go; I think they're going to be very chunky girls come harvest time!

My second Durga Mata hasn't popped. Washed my hands and pulled it out and gave it a light squeeze to pop the seam and put it back in. It looks healthy inside; maybe it's just the low temperatures at night that are slowing it down.

I ordered some more Durga Matas, some Maple Leaf Indica and Shiva Shanti (Sensi), Sag Western Winds and a few other strains. I also let Paradise know what happened with the DMs (they guarantee germination).

Thanks Kalbhairav! Looks like yield is going to be great for the size of my grow! I fed everything with 1/8 strength AlgaBloom today. Will top dress with castings, compost and a little guano tomorrow, then just plain pHed water/molasses occasionally until next week.

I sowed a Homegrown Fantaseeds Afghani in the pot with the Sour Mist seeds since they aren't doing anything. It's a regular bean, so I hope I don't get a male, but if I do, I'll isolate it and dust a little Afghani pollen on all of my girls. Afghani Skunk, Afghani Satori and Afghani Ice Cream would all be interesting!

Homegrown Fantaseeds Afghani popped (24 hours) and is just putting out a taproot now. The Durga Mata seeds were from the same dealer and purchased at the same time as my Satoris, so I'm going to say the poor germ rate is Paradise's or the seedbank's fault. The seeds are probably old or were poorly stored at some point. Sucks, I really wanted to grow some DM! Hopefully the new DM beans I have on the way will fare better. Looks like I'll be growing an Afghani plant, and my last Ice Cream clone is begging to be transplanted! I just topped it and put the top into fresh seedling mix. Hopefully now I'll have two new moms for my third run with the Ice Cream!

Greeted with a sweet herb aroma down the hall today. It's warmer, all of a sudden, and it is really starting to reek in here. I turned the scrubber up, but I think I need to duct tape everything up because they still have quite a while to go, and it's just going to get stinkier in here!

Aargh, I still have fungus gnat (?) larvae in my seed starting mix. Found another wiggler nibbling on my Afghani seedling. It may already be a goner. :( I removed the seedling, poured boiling water into the mix and then put it back after it had cooled down. Hopefully I didn't lose a good seed; if it doesn't germ, I'm just going to transplant in the Ice Cream or Satori clone I have waiting in the wings.

Sowed another Afghani seed in the pot with the other seedling since I think it's already too late for that one; it's tap root is coming along very slowly indeed.

About seven weeks since flip now, so at least a month to go I think.

After watering my seed starting mix with H2O2, I managed to successfully germ a Homegrown Fantaseeds Afghani. I'll give him/her some time under CFL before it goes under the HPS. Here's hoping it's a healthy, tasty, potent girl. ;)

Found two more opened male flowers on the skunk today. No clones of her, so this is her last grow, and she's nearing her end. Everything is fattening nicely; some nice fan yellowing going on too.
