OPT X with lowrider

I am not sure they are sick but....see the hooking of the leaves? When it first started, I flushed very well, it didn't stop because the new growth was doing the same thing. So I repotted, still new growth doing the same thing.
At this point, 78 days from seed, 5 weeks in flower it seems to be at a stand still, very, very slow growth.
I use CFl's and have never grown this particular strain before.

comments?

Thank you! The leaf tips look fine and I thought it looked healthy except for the hooking.
That is very nice to know, that the genetics can cause that.

I worry over my plants like I did my babies. I love them soooo much. haha

Are you letting them dry out real good before watering? Only reason I ask is, I've only ever had hooked under leaf like that due to over watering. Other then that LR crosses are very finicky when it comes to feeding. I always use a very light feeding and fert schedule with LR crosses. Hope this helps ya out some....Peace

never dona a LR cross... although I have had that "hooking" on the leaves often .... I never worried about it and they have all been good so far !

Peace

It has been an odd plant for sure. I do let them dry out before watering and they do respond to LITTLE ferts and I do mean little. I gave them some tea and noticed overfert within days, that was when I flushed and repotted.

Sensitive and funky they are for sure.

how often do you water?
in the future u may want to wait until the plant takes hold to the container before goin into flower
imo a slightly rootbound plant is ideal at the onset, just so that the roots can 'breath' and nutrients evenly absorbed

ive had the claw just like that from flowerin in too much dirt, or, topping a plant in half
without trimmin the rootball/xplantin afterward (a can full of dead roots = nasty root rot)

hope all works out well, never grew either strain so could be genetics too
but either way they look good enough to go into flower to me, as u did :p
but yeah hon just stick to normal conditions/feeding.
and make sure to let the can fully dry out between waterings
(the parts of soil without roots will stay wet and eventually you will have an anaerobic situation if you dont let the soil dry up between waterins.)
ok POMH be well

Seems we have been discussing the oddities of this plant. Well the seeds popped within 24 hours and were growing into the papertowel. I kept them in small seedling pots for about 2 weeks and the roots were showing through the dirt, so I repotted. Three weeks later, I had to repot again. Here is a pic at the second repotting. So when I did it that time, I put them in a large pot.

Large root system for such a squaty plant.

I let it dry out completely between waterings, I need to water like every third day right now.

yes. Oregon Purple Thai is a Blueberry ancestor.

To my knowledge this is the only cross of LR Reef has made to date and it has a very close to a 100% autoflowering rate. Varigated leaves (1/2 yellow 1/2 green) are also common with the OPT. I was able to bless another grower with some of these beans and they got a couple that didn't autoflower and they got big real big. So either way autoflowering or not they produce some nice sugar coated goodness. Peace.

What is recommended for this autoflower? I mean you keep them in veg? Will they do it on 24 light? or do you drop to 18/6?

and what is the best way to grow it, and what differences does it make in the plant whether you grow from 18/6 or 12/12.

If there is a link to all this please let me know. Don't want you to think I am lazy...hehehe
