Greenjello, I for one use the supernatural product line ( http://www.fearlessgardener.com/products.htm ) but I grow in pro mix hp (soilless) I have had super good results with them in all my grows.I thought you were leaning towards organic ? As these are not organic ferts. they are really clean for salt base but not organic, I use their gro terra, bloom terra , budblaster and superboost. As I say they have always worked well for me in my grows and they do have other stuff but this all of their products I have used. I wish you all the best in your grows and be safe dequilo

If you start in FFOF, I would highly recommend Fox Farm Fruit and Flower dry formulae. Its about $7 a box, but it is made of all kinds of good "poo" and beneficial fungi and bacteria. It is made by Fox Farm for mixing in with FFOF or other FF soils.

My best successes have come out of FFOF with FF F&F dry formulae added. No additional liquid ferts needed.

Good Luck!

Edit: And its organic. If that is important to you.

thanks guys appreciate the feedback. dequilo, yes i am leaning towards organic, but honestly making tea out of shit sounded like a PIA, i was looking for more of organics concentrated possibly, like the grow big and tiger bloom/big bloom from FF. what do you guys think of the bottles of fish fertilizer, any experience there? and with the organics i take it, your less likley to burn your babies?

I use a very simple method of growing all organic in a soilless medium.
I put 1/2 bucket of Sunshine mix #2 with 1 tablespoon of Maxicrop Soluble Seaweed Powder and 1/2 cup of Whitney Farms All-Purpose 5-5-5 and mix very well as the Seaweed powder is very hot. This is the bottom layer of the bucket that I transplant into. The top is the rest of the bucket of Sunshine #2 with another 1/2 cup of Whitney's. Water as needed until harvest.
I have had great success with this method on a wide variety of strains including both of my Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards wins. I have been sharing this recipe since 1999. It is a very simple method for anyone who is just starting out, but I feel that it produces the best medicine.

If you aren't committed to going 100% organic, seems like people have good luck with the Fox Farms Grow/Tiger/Big Bloom combo. (Big Bloom is the only one that is 100% microbe-friendly.)

Here's a handy, cannabis-specific feeding schedule published by Fox Farms:

just got off the phone with this place http://www.4hydroponics.com/ , nice guy anyways he talked me into keeping it simple, get a nice yield for my first grow using Dyna-Gro Liquid Grow, and Age Old Organics Kelp. i know it' not organic well some of it is but he says i will not burn my plants with this product and will love the results. of course i'm always into trying a different way but just wanted to say i have these products comming.

Fish ferts work but they STINK. Precious little hiding that smell, even cannabis hides better.

Yes, you are less likely to burn with organics, but if you have good soil like FFOF and are using Grow Big or Tiger Bloom at recommended doses, you will probably burn. I have many times.

The best results I have ever gotten have been in FFOF with the Fruit and Flower added. No liquid ferts. 38 grams on a single cola LifeSaver in a SOG.

From Fox Farm:
Fox Farm Peace of Mind Fertilizers

Fox Farm is a group of dedicated gardeners who are making a difference in how we treat the Earth and each other. Using Peace of Mind in your own backyard allows you to make a conscientious choice to improve the environmental well being of the garden, your family and generations yet to come.

Enriching the soil first is the foundation of organic gardening. Peace of Mind works in harmony with nature to gently provide nutrition over time as well as it encourages millions of beneficial soil microbes to flourish. These microorganisms help convert the organic fertilizers into food that is immediately available to plants. Shrubs and flowers will have robust vitality, enhanced color, and become more disease resistant. Peace of Mind enhances fruit and vegetable production creating higher yields, sweeter flavor and brings more nutrition to your table.

Home gardeners and farmers alike are enjoying the benefits of organic gardening. Peace of Mind pioneers the way for superior organic gardening products with ultra potent, biologically active blends of the finest natural fertilizers on Earth. Fox Farm extensively tests every ingredient in its state of the art greenhouse operation to ensure you get spectacular results, every time!

Peace of Mind Organic Fertilizers are specifically formulated to replenish the soil, lift the human spirit and beautify the Earth, naturally. Bring your plants to life!

Peace of Mind contains powerful root stimulates called mycorrhizae fungi. Mycorrhizae occur naturally in forest soils where the humus content is high and the soil is thriving with microbial life. Once in contact with the plant's root system, mycorrhizae go to work right away colonizing directly onto the roots. This activity dramatically expands both primary and secondary root development enabling the plant to take up more nutrients. The benefits of Peace of Mind are enhanced fruit and flower production.

Peace of Mind also contains Humic Acid, a naturally occurring organic material that is extracted from Leonardite. Humic Acid is found in certain soils, coals and peat resulting from the decomposition of organic matter. Humic Acid aids in seed germination and may increase micronutrient uptake.

All Fox Farm products are grow tested in our greenhouse laboratory to ensure superior quality

Fruit & Flower Fertilizer
Fox Farm Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower Fertilizer (5-8-4) is specifically designed to supply essential nitrogen for vegetative growth. Also contains a high percentage of phosphorous for luscious fruit and flower development. Encourages healthy root systems, large bud set and multiple branching. Peace of Mind Organic Fertilizers include mycorrhizae and humic acid.

Directions for Use:

New Container Plants: Add 1 tbsp. Peace of Mind Fruit & Flower Fertilizer per gallon of soil.

Established Container Plants: Use 1/2 - 3 cups per plant. Feed monthly throughout the growing season. Lightly scratch into the top 1” of soil and water.

Nice, strainwhore... exactly where I was going to point him, to the PoM stuff. Great stuff.

And I agree... the idea is to add goodies to your soil and only be forced to give supplemental liquid feedings 2-3 times during flowering. Or, ideally, not at all if you nail the amounts and ratios correctly.

I use Botanticare's PBP for hydro and really like it; I heard their soil line is pretty good too. If you can afford it, check out AN's line; B-52, Overdrive, Dr. Hornby's Big Bud are all great products.

Pure Blend Pro is the best I've used. It's simple to use, and gets great results organically. It's more expensive, but it's a one-part formula so it's worth it. With some other popular lines, you need to buy several components to get the full effect you desire.

I'm gunna cast another vote for Fox Farms.
I tried PBP and earth juice and fried my plants.
I am also having good results with Advanced Nutes additives.
Throw some Sesnizym,Pirahna and tarantula in.
You'll be amazed at plant growth. It kept up with my Hydro setup.

FoxFarm's good too  Earth Juice has some product, like the organic soil wetting agent, and Catalyst. Those are good to use with stuff like Pure Blend or FoxFarm.

Thanx Canine! Crazy, I've started cutting my regular mix (http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=17373) with more Coco Fiber (5gal COCO 5gal Stay-Green) and haven't needed a wetting agent since. Soil soaks it right up.

I've also been gradually cutting back my ammendments and dry fertilizers to see if what Verite said in another thread is true. "Plants struggle with too many complicated additives."

nobody around me carries fox farm..not the huge nursery, not the other huge nursery, not the small greenhouses/stores, not homedepot or lowes! damn im missing out apparently, I like the sound of the "Peace of Mind"

not surprised considering the biggest nursery only has miracle gro perlite (which is laced with ferts...yes, i said PERLITE, not dirt....)

if you can't get to somewhere that carrys good ferts you should be able to atleast get through veg on the alaska fish emulsion. its 5-1-1 IIRC. You'd probably want to find something to balance it out. A lot of nurserys do sell the soil additives you could use to make good organic soil. bone meal blood meal etc. so that the soil contains all the plants gonna need from the start.

Edit: oops forgot about the nusery comment. looks like you might be screwed on creating a good organic soil. might want to make a day trip somewhere.
