I know what the definition is but just asking for purity without considering the specific use is pointless. As someone just said, some are wired to argue.A standard of purity requires said ingredients contain at least a certain percentage of said ingredient, and less than a certain amount of other chemicals.
We are talking about substances which are inherently toxic. All lipophilic, fat soluble, substances such as terpenes damage the lung when inhaled. Some are worse than others but exposure to all should be limited. So what is the point of having a 100 % pure poison?
Terpenes are not determinants of flavour. They play a role but smell gets worse the more is added (either by breeding or post processing).
