Do you always do that 48 hrs of dark??

I always thought the dark period "thing" was done by people at the END of flowering..!??

I've never bothered with it because I run perpetual...but I have never heard of 48 hrs of dark BEFORE flowering..?? (until now)

Please inform...Thanks

PS: Let us know what you think of the Cali lights...?? I def need something else to add to the Lumigrow to actually "replace" my 600w HPS.

I try to do 24-48 hours of darkness. Most people call me crazy but I have found it to be result worthy enough to do it. The plants tend to stretch a lot more during the dark period and they are 'at rest' using the energy. It also seems to make pistils shoot out everywhere.

Again, I have done no scientific studies but I always do the dark period at the beginning and end.

/me walks back on stage.
*tap mic*
"Is this thing on???"
*tap tap*
"oh well"

It's your favorite LED grower. I have an update for you fine folks. The plants had a light break between the 48hr darkness to show you the results.

These are my weapons of choice going into the trenches of flowering.

I'm going in!!

Yeah, I will get better pics tonight and some CFL pics.

I am still only using the Lumigrow until the lights come in.

Well, apparently the new Nokia Lumia 920 camera can actually cut through the LED light. It is still blown out but it was my friends camera he was taking the pictures. Once I get mine (back-ordered), I can't wait to take pics. The video quality is amazing too. I am uploading a sample at the end of the video tonight.

3x Kessil H150 (under canopy resin production. I ordered the detachable arms that strap to tent poles.) They are 32W (actual) of power so 96 watts.

I ordered a 200W California Lightworks BloomBooster as well. They will all be here Friday.

I've gone mental :yoinks:

WOOT!

WOOT!

This rounds looking pretty good friend! New camera will make our viewing pleasure much more!
Can tell your starting to get used to making video's, digging it man!

You going to keep both LED's in that one tent or you planing on expanding? I think both lights in that one tent might be just a little overkill (or overlight i guess?) Ether way cant hurt!

How is the Lumi 330 compared to your 220 heat wise? JW:thank you:

Have a good one!:tiphat: QSC....

Yeah, the 200W Bloombooster might be a bit much but I won't really know until I try :)

I am planning on keeping the Bloombooster in the tent with the Lumigrow throughout the whole flower period, yep. I'm more excited at the Kessils under the canopy :)

Heat wise, the eShine is no comparison to the Lumigrow. The Lumigrow is basically one big heatsink. The quality is unbelievable in their thermal management.

Having a slight issue with humidity that I want to sort out now. It seems to be hovering around 55% and spiking up past 60%.

Should I get a small portable dehumidifier or has anyone had experience with putting silica packs inside a tent to absorb the humidity? Anything else I could try first?

that's actually not that bad........if..........you have a fan blowing air through the leaves so there is never any time for the air to 'stagnate' and cause problems...

The silica packs I doubt will do anything in regards to pulling humidity out of the room. You have to bear in mind what the external humidity is as well. For me here, I know we're entering into winter and the dry season but we still get the occasional day where the humidity spikes to around 70-80% outside. That causes my tent humidity to rise to around 60% but it only lasts around a day or so.

I've flowered in the middle of summer where humidity was around 70% and even though I know it's not advisable, since I had fans moving the air around, there was never any issues with mould, rot or anything else....only problem was that the damn buds were too freaking sticky..:D. why those LEDs I tell ya....:dance013::biggrin:

Ok, I should be in the clear then. I have 3 fans circulating the air in the tent/leaves. Sweet.
