Hello all

Ok so the first grow is just finnished :joint: A lot of mistakes were made and a couple of lessons learned, so this should be a little more successfull

We germed some beans about 2 weeks ago, plan beeing to get these done just before christmass so we have some decent (if not well cured) smoke :D

Firstly we germed 7 Indoor Mix from Nirvana, 5 Skunk#1 Freebies, 2 Apollo Mist from Rez & 2 Free Love by the H3ads :joint:

Only one Indoor Mix germed, the Skunk#1's didn't even make the effort :badday:

So we chucked in some more out of our collection (2xAM, 2xFL, 2xVBS & 2xJH) as we didn't want to run the cab half empty again

All germed leaving us with a total of 13 survivors. 4 will be female for sure as the JH are from Female Seeds and the VBS are as we know s1, that leaves 9 unsure. Would be great if all were female but I'm hoping for a total of 8 girls at the end

They're currently in small 1ltr pots under 3x18w fluoros on for 24h. Will transplant them into their final pots, some 4ltr & some 6,5, tonight 'n stick them under the big light for another week of veging, before switching to 12/12 on the 31st :D :woohoo:

So that's it for now. Pics will follow over the weekend once we've transplanted :joint:

Ok so they've all been transplanted and are now in the bigger cab :joint: I've stacked several boxes on top of which I put a large sheet of cardboard, which the pots are stood on now. Brings the plants about 50-60cm away from the light, temp is comfortable. I've also turned the fan up a bit so the babys don't get burned

I'll up some pics tomorrow night, the missus is having her nails done so I'm allowed some time to play :D :biglaugh:

Ok people here's the pics.... :joint:

Group shot

These are H3ad's Free Love, 2 were germed 2 days later hence the size difference...

Apollo Mist, again germed 2 days apart, the size difference here is quite amazing :yoinks: (the one at the bottom is the lone Indoor Mix)

And on the end we have 2 VBS (left) and 2 JH (right, obviously  )

Here's a better shot of our Indoor Mix

And a different view of the Apollo Mist :joint:

So far the only thing that bothers me is the fact that the top soil is so dried out. I watered them all about 1/4 - 1/2 ltr depending on pot size. The pots are still as heavy as anything yet the top 5cm are as dry as never been watered. I don't think they mind as all are looking healthy, I'd like it a bit more even though :chin:

I have one JH which is a funny colour. It's in the same soil, had same water and is under the same light as all the others, yet it's new growth in the center is really light green.

Any1 think it's just an odd one as the conditions are the same as all the others? Or do you think it needs ferting??

Any ideas would be apreciated

Hey GMT  Sure pays off to live so close :D

Ok folks I'm back :joint: A great weekend was had :D Bought loads of goodies back, a 4 pack of Female Seeds' Neville's Haze Hybrid, the new Durban Poisen x Skunk #1 Freebie, and an unreleased variety for a test grow called "Double Fun" (thread will follow in Seeds Boutique Test Grows in January), supposed to be a Bubblegum cross I'm told

We met Gypsy on sunday at the shop, he just brought boxes full of signed copys of Howards Mr Nice auto, so I got me a copy of that too :D

Thanks again Gypsy & all at Seed Boutique for the great work and genetics you provide us with  Hope you liked the VBS Sample I brought you :joint:

As for the current grow, all is well, switched to 12/12 on sunday. Pics will be up on friday

Ok so here's some more pics :joint:

Group shot...

Tried a canopy shot but can't get them all on...

Ok these are the Free Love...

The big ones in the center are the Apollo Mist...

This is mixed, bottom right is Indoor Mix, next to it is the one VBS remaining, the 2 on the top left are JH and the 2 next to it the younger Apollo Mists...

I lost one of the VBS' to a funny stem sympton, the stem has gotten reeeeaaaaaly thin and it just bent over and died whilst we were in Amsterdam. This one has it too but I mannaged to catch it, for now anyway :chin:

This is the JH with the funny colours. I think it must have just been a pigment problem. You can't see it well on this pic but all new growth now is fine, the odd colour before was really irregular too, nothing like a defficiency or anything

This is the front view of one of the AMs. A little more stretch on this than on the FL but lovely branching non the less, god damn amazing compared to our last grow an all :yoinks:

I've taken the same view of the FL but don't have time to upload now. The nodes on the FL are almost parallel though, there's like hardly any vertical growth inbetween the first 3 nodes :yoinks:

That's it for now, let me know what you think

Oh yea, sorry about the feet :biglaugh:

Nice plants Alex... That one VBS looks like damping off disease...
Damping Off Disease thrives in cool or cold, dark or cloudy, wet or damp conditions. The lack of air circulation, also encourages growth of this disease. Like your plants, nitrogen in the soil feeds disease growth.

The disease is airborne and can spread quickly from one seed tray to another. The fungal spores take root in your soil, and quickly spreads across the seed tray, jumping to other trays with ease. It is fatal to young seedlings, nipping them off at the soil level.

Many new growers will start their seedlings indoors, in a cool, damp basement. It's the perfect breeding ground for this disease.

To avoid Damping Off Disease, take this environment away, and the disease doesn't grow.

Ok so try again....

Quick update...

2 of the Free Love are males, all other plants seem to be females, fingers crossed

Fotos on friday, till then

Checked again last night, one of the 4 Apollo Mists might be a bloke too, but the 2 largest ones are fem for sure :woohoo: :woohoo:

The 2 Free Love girls seem to be of different parents too which is good, one is lighter green and has really fat leaves, the other one dark green with leaves a little thinner :joint:

Evenin all :joint:

Ok all is well down there. Just checked on em again before lights out, they look happy

Group Shots..

These are of the 2 males so far, I think we're gonna keep one for some fun with the girls

These 4 are Free Love, the 2 on the rith are the blokes, they've actually totally overtaken the girls in the last 2 days and are much bigger now :yoinks:

Female pre flower on an Apollo Mist...

These are the 2 Jack Herer, you can't see it in this pic but one is really dark almost black in colour, the other normal green...

This is one of the Apollo Mists, I'm really pleased with their growth the lower branches are catching up with the rest..

Group shot from yesterday, loads bigger than on wednesday when the other pics were taken...

And another shot of my fave male...

This is the same male, I think he's going for a flat canopy look :D

So, looks like all is well :joint: Sorry for the green pictures :pointlaug Still haven't got a new cam and this one does that from time to time :badday:

Let me know what you think
