What did he say that wasn't true? South america is where it's at. If it's good enough for porn stars to vacation to it's good enough to live there for me.

Kinda silly, what day isnt a vacation for a porn star? Well besides giant butt plug day, otherwise its all vacation.

Overpriced? There are still parts where you can grow as much pot as you want to and make as much money as any average person would want doing so if you have half of a brain. Quit bitching.

Well that just proves another point...

There's alot of People that abuse the system/laws that a few of us older MMJ folks have worked 2+ decades for......>Bitch.<

Smooches,

Hey, if someone follows the local guide lines and they provide a good or service for someone at market value, I fail to see how that is exploitation. Not every medical patient can grow. Many growers don't rely on the medical route.

Lived in Alaska for 20 years. Reccomended if you can take the weather and seclusion. Things cost a lot more there so bring extra money. Juneau Alaska is the 3rd most expensive city to live in the US. Anchorage is #4 or 5.

Lived in Cali for a while. Not bad, I would say Northern California is the nicest. Too many fuckin people San Francisco south. outside of Ukiah there is some really nice property.

Traveled a lot in South America. That is where I plan to move at some point. You won't have any problem getting your twinkie or watching an american movie in the theater. In fact when you take a bus between towns they usually play movies that are not even released yet, they pirate them somehow. The only thing you might miss when living down there is friends and family. Try Argentina, you can get land and houses pretty frickin cheap. Peru and Bolivia are fun to visit, not sure if I would want to live there. There are people doing a bunch of outdoor crops in Soratta Bolivia, but the last time I was there I had to sneak out of the country because of a political trouble.

Europe has some cool places. I just don't see it being very easy to get a visa. Plus it is going to be a hell of a lot more expensive. There are some nice spots in spain on the coast. Lugano Switzerland is beautifull and I had some great pot that I bought in the store there. Eastern Europe is nice but I don't know much about the laws there. They might chop off your hand for a joint for all I know. Portugal is another cool place, again don't know about the laws. I did smoke some decent weed there. I also got ripped off by a bait and switch trick with hash.

My choice would be Argentina. Get a house on a couple acres in Patagonia for 10-20 grand and call it good. You can find a pretty girl get married and have kids within 5 years guaranteed. Not that you wanted that, but it will be hard to resist the girls.

"Every square inch"...ummm...ok.

Have You evr been east of hwy#99.

It's a whole different state.
Rogue Sheriffs, that absolutly defy state law..oh, here's a new 0ne...Swearing-in Sheriff's deputies to Federal agents...Your Prop 215 paperwork won't save You here.

Just another reason to leave this over-priced shitty state.

Martha S.

I'm with you there man...
I don't know where you live, but I'm in the same situation here.

Show the cops a medical marijuana card or papers and you'll get laughed at. Marijuana is viewed worse than most other drugs...
Kids can go out to some fields and have a giant keg party, cops won't do shit. (JUst 3 weeks ago a 17 year old girl got killed at one by a drunk driver fucking off in the fileds in his truck)
But if you decide to smoke a joint on your front porch, sure enough a cop is bound to come out of the woodwork to find and bust your ass. :bat:

Why not Holland? Or is that too cliche? I love holland. How hard is it to immigrate to the Netherlands? There has to be ex-pats out there that know the answer to this question? What if an American wanted to move to Holland and start a coffeeshop? How hard would it be to get the visa's and everything to pull that off?

I think the answer to your question ...IS a question.:

How much money do you have?

I'm sure if you have a lot of money the other parts will not be hard...otherwise.....

I was looking into moving away and my fiance and I decided we'd need atleast $20,000 saved up before we could do anything. That was before I got a cooshy job with a GREAT retirement plan tho...now I just plan on staying here. I already own my house here...and this area isn't very concerned with busting guys who don't deal and just smoke in their homes. Even if I did get busted Ohio decriminalized bud so the penalty isn't that severe...the worst part would be losing my license for 6 months.

If its going to be just you $10,000 would probably be enough to live off of for 6 months while you get on your feet.

Thanks Yukon,

So I guess any american can get a visa to work in holland but you'll have to pay for it? Is that what you're saying? They don't have lottery systems for immigrants like the US does, do they?

What about South America? What does it take to immigrate to Argentina or Brazil? Not a work visa, a complete move.

I have been looking into Brazil, Sao Paulo. I have a friend down there and she sends me new home listings. I am curious if there are any expats here in Brazil. Brazil or Spain is where i need to be

If I had the choice and the 40 grand to move out of the US I would make a B-line all the way to New Zealand or Australia and make sure I had a decent job and some health care.

After that sky is the limit. :chin:

Nevermind - Brazil is where you want to be for women. There are like 5 or 6 for every guy - no kidding. If a girl likes you, you'll be making out and more first night, the culture is different, they love Americans. I go often and just came back last month from Rio. Sao Paulo at night is paradise, all the top models live there and are looking for fun. Tons of hot young chicks ready to roll everywhere, and they'll cook you breakfast the next day lol.
Now planting herbs...you definitely would need some land away from the city (S.P.) and take genetics and tight tight lips, because a gringo with the only green in town is obviously the talk of town....in Sao Paulo you will only see amonia laced brick weed and coke. With close connections, you'll find expensive imported work-bud from Holland. The cops will try to get money out of you if you're busted just like in Mexico or any other latin american country, so jailtime is avoidable. If you've been there, then it's easy, but if you're not used to the culture, 3rd world can be overwhelming. The laws are not MJ friendly either, they have a law where they'll confiscate land if you are a big time grower (they determine that). I've grown there and lived there and they will only fuck with you if you are blatant about it. peace and good luck. pm me if you have any questions...

oh and to answer the other question - Jobs available to Americans usually are jobs like being English teachers because the job market is highly competitive and saturated as unemployment is high and obviosly Portuguese knowledge is essential as well as who you know..but there is always demand for English schools run by Americans.

I cant wait to get out of this country. goal right now is to stack to make it happen by the end of next year. id love to hit bc/alberta. not that expensive. i dont like to stay in one place for long, wouldnt mind bouncing from 1 country to another on work or student visas every other year. dunno how people can live their whole life in the same town.

on canada's immigration webside i believe they said you need to be able to support yourself for 6-9 months of employment, and they figured expenses at like 1,500 canadian per month..

India, India, India!!!
And Nepal too, cause you gota geta away from all the chaos thats in India.
But you can do the subcontinent and its surrounding countries for cheap! Like $5 a day for food and shelter, and hash is like $1 a gram for good charas!

I will grow pounds a month, save $250K and retire young on the beaches of southern Asia!

my advice would be to get a work visa and work somewhere before you think about retiring there - at the very least live there for a year or two, and preferably start learning whatever language it is that is spoken there

IME there will often be a gulf between expectation and reality, not that that has to be a problem

if you want an amusing book on S Asia read "Karma Cola"
