I have a friend that was at the Skytrain in Van and he was asked to show his ticket from the Transit Police. When he went into his pocket to pull it out they could smell his joint so they told him they could and he said "he was legal and didn't want any problems" and handed them the joint which he bought from the club. Showed them his card they asked to see any tatoos and then let him go.. Are they allowed to take his meds???? peace out Headband707

Okay I just found out from another club that they can indeed take your meds and that the Skystation cops are not the same as the Van cops.They have different contracts. I also heard that they can take your meds if they wanted just most Van cops don't. You could go the route of taking their badge number and going to their boss. ?? peace out Headband707

Crappy that he lost his joint but at the same time they didnt make a scene of it I suppose! Then again Im one to avoid conflict whenever possible.

I am sure the club will tell you whatever legal advice doesn't get them in trouble. Remember, they really only care about the legal stuff that involves them, it is disputable if they have any idea what the situation was for you.
Those who do not exercise their rights are soon to lose them...

Well you couldn't be more right they can't just walk up and take my meds i.e. presc. pills. No ,they can however take my cannabis as it is still illegal for me to carry it if I don't have a federal licence to grow or the papers to back up a certain amount at all times etc. That is the loupe hole they have here.. Most club members that do run into the Van police and have their bud in the clubs bag don't have a problem and they just move on. Very seldom is the club called on the amount or who it might be. I think I have only heard of that 3 times. This Skystain police is a whole different breed of fool .They have been jumping the sick actually jumping on them, women ffs.. real men.. making the big weed bust. fucking tools... Don't know who's idea to hire these loser where but it was a bad idea. It's been nothing but bad press ever since they were hired . You think they would put two and two together here..
