OGKush Vs Tomato

Hey there all.

I'm back at it again.

This grow is off to a VERY rocky start

I recently received a VERY healthy OGKush clone from a very good friend of mine. I had it all set up in my little clone box and well it was doing swell.

Then I harvested my lifesavers and I've been in a little bit of a fog.

So the day before I go to transplant into the waterfarm I peek in at the clone... was fine the day before but OMG... it's almost DEAD

Dried up, wilted and looking very unhealthy in general.

You can see the state it's in... believe it or not it actually looks better. I'm gonna have to seriously give this poor girl some TLC.

The tomato is doing very well and even has a tomato growin

I hope the OGkush pulls through. I feel terrible about what I've done to the poor girl. My friend said she'll come back... as long as the stem isn't wilting and has some green left in it. It has a couple good leaves on it and I think it's trying to grow some new leaves but only time will tell.

Man I'm such and idiot. :bashhead:

I still think despite the OGKush's poor condition now, the tomato will have it's work cut out for it to compete for light later on. We shall see.

Peace all.

nice looking tomato plant.

sorry to haer about your clone. :whip:

any news on her condition???

what do you think caused this to happen???

Hey sleepy.

Well I just took that pic of the clone so that's its current condition.

I know EXACTLY what happened to it... ME. I forgot to check on it for a day and well I didn't water it for a couple and by the time I checked on it again it was in really rough shape. I didn't realize it's water need would be as high as it was. I was warned it's VERY thirsty when "full grown" and can drain a waterfarm in a day.

So I am my own worst enemy in this case. That'll learn me though... next time I'm checking and watering on a regular basis.

Hopefully by the weekend it'll look better.

Peace

She's gonna pull through

She's gonna pull through

Well, it's been a very slow week for the OGKush, but I think she's gonna pull through. Damn strong plant. I think she was running to the light when I found her and I've pulled her back. I wonder what her wishes were regading a vegetative state :chin:

The tomato, well that thing so far is winning this race to nowhere. It's growing quite quickly.

Well now that the OG is gonna pull through I can start thinking about what she'll taste like, stone like, etc :yummy:. I hear she grow very dense "popcorn" nugs which rip ya in a couple hits, only time will tell. I'll have to veg her for at least another week or two. I want ot get a couple clones and then grow her out.

Hope yer all having a great day.

Peace

Think she'll make it?

Think she'll make it?

Well, she's been through a lot already. I'm pretty sure she's gonna make it now.

Gonna veg her a little bit longer (I have to take a couple clones of this) and well train it a little and switch to flowering here soon. I hear she likes to stretch in flower like a sativa.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

peace

Nice save man, how is the tomato doing? This thread is great by the way, if I had the space I'd think I'd try something like this.

Shaolin730 - thanks for droppin in.

It was a close call for her, I'm glad I saved it. I'd much rather that I didn't do that to her in the first place, I'd probaby be a week into flowering by now. Ok, no use crying over spilled milk :frown:

So you are asking about the tomato. He/she/it is doing just fine. Well except for the top leaves, a little bit of heat stress is happening (weather has been warmer, temps harder to keep down) and well I have the light a little bit close since I want the OG to get enough light since it's a bit shorter (for now).

I've got some OG commin to sample. The grower wanted to know if I wanted to check out some of the finished product that I'm currently growing. Hell ya, I hear nothing but great things about the OGKush. Can't wait to get a few lunch fulls of that smoke, especially from this grower. They are a kick ass grower, co2, 2K Hortilux, properly flushed and cured, the whole 9 yards. How could I say no?

Anyway folks, hope your all having a great Saturday.

peace

The Race is on

The Race is on

I think the tomato is only ahead by a leaf.

OG is gaining on her opponent and is poised to take the lead. Today is day 8 of flower and she's just starting to take off. I should have taken a pic yesterday, the growth spurt was VERY noticable. Oh well. This is the boring part really, leaves, horray, wake me up in about 3 weeks

Well, just thought I'd give an update.

Hope all is swell for ya'll.

Peace

Awesome work on the recovery! She is looking sexy again. That tomato plant better watch out. The light might fade out on it. Peace…

Yes, saved indeed. A shoestring catch.

I'm not a sick freak that is they type of person to torture you till you're almost dead and then bring you back to health so I can do it all over again. I'm hoping she doesn't have another stressful day in her life, well until I chopper down, a somewhat stressful time for the plant :whip:

Today is day 14 of flower and well it's comming along nicely in spite of what it went through. I'm trying to clone it as well, so far one is rooting and the other's have bumps... so she will live on.

Starting to see the tops starting to form their flowers . Ahhh not much longer now. From what I'm told it's an early finisher too... around 50 to 53 days. Only time and the trics will tell :canabis:.

Hope yer all have a great evening/day/morning

Peace

Lookin much better lightning bud!!! Im thinking of growing a tomato crop to try out some hydro. I only have a little bit of experience in it so it should be fun. Ill keep checkin in on this thread for sure!! Definetly cant wait for the smoke/eat report!!! :canabis:

Mmmm, trichome covered tomatos, even better than tomacco :biglaugh:.

I've grown more than enough pot for me to smoke for awhile so I thought I would see if I did have somewhat of a green thumb and try to grow something other than pot with hydro. I guess it works for other plants too

This strain of tomato is the burbank... did a quick search online ...

"(Heirloom) Developed by plant genius Luther Burbank around 1915, this is a delicious, 6-8 oz., red, slicing tomato. Very nutritious, with the highest total free amino acids of all tomatoes tested. Does well in drier climates. Stocky, determinate, 18"-36" bushes yield prolifically, but doesn't need trellising. (80 days)"

I'll have to try and time the flushing if I can, so far not a lot of fruit. This plant is a clone, and it's mother/father/parental unit(s) bares quite flavorful fruit. Since she/he/it is growing in dirt it will be interesting to compare the two.

Anyway... man wouldn't that be sweet if you could get a tomato plant to produce THC.

Cool, just curious... I grow bradleys, early girls, better boys, and arkansas travelers... The early girls fruit up first, of course, but imho the bradleys taste best...
