first time EVER doing flood and drain.......

have no idea why i started trying it, but it seems to be doing its thing!

if i fail, i fail! come along for the ride!

looking to get 15-20 grams per plant.....

Setup -

probably my most two favorite head stash strains, the taste and smell are better then pussy.....

strains - CGS OGChem @ 2010 Xmas Special.....

2 X 4 tray with a 27 gallon res.....

1000w per 2 X 4 tray.....

4 X 4 Cubes with a coco mat underneath.....

half the tray ogcham, the other half xmas special...

vegged till 6-8" tall....

flood every 3 hours for 2 minutes - always have 1 1/2" nutrient at bottom of trays so coco mat does not dry out.....

nutrient - GH 10 ml micro
GH 15 ml bloom
Floralicous plus 1 ml
Sweet 10 ml
every other week -
12 ml cal mag
10 ml protekt

Start of flowering -




1 week into flowering -

these guys grew like crazy!! they are all topped multiple times. im thinking of bending down the tallest tops so they wont burn from the light. the tray in front of this tray is a week further into flowering.....

the ogchems absolutely REEK with touched!!

hitting em with close to 1600 ppm's...

Looking forward to see this. Surprised to see you doing the experiment with the cocomats. When you say that there is always a certain amount left in the trays, how do you manage to do that. Are the fills and drains set higher? If this works well for you I might give the coco mats a shot.

1k per 2X4, TRYING to pull 5-6lb's in an equivalent of a 4X8 tray!!!

i use risers on the flood and drain fittings to always have roots in nutrient. i peaked under the mat and it was just a root mass the size of the mat!!

adding water to top off the res after 1 week. changing the res every 2 weeks right now. i KNOW i could go longer! but i don't want to experiment at this point.....
