It's a meditation for me ... it's what oil making was for me at one point, than it became a job and not so fun. I mean I love cranking levels and watching pressure, but running a card over shit is just kinda fun. Im a big flower guy, make tons of oil, but really only smoke bongs ... after getting some real nice heads that full melt clear I'm hooked ... and turning all this dank into heads.

Thank you cl0ud! I take pride in the growing process, so being able to produce good hash is a big deal for me after going all that length to get the resin in the first place...

These were cured for about 5 to 6 weeks before they hit the screens. I keep them at arund 60% humidity inside the jars during the cure, then when I decide to sift them I'll dump em out into a box, break all the nuggets into .1-.2 size pieces, and then I'll leave them out over night to dry further.

Typically the dryer the better, and the colder the better. So after they sit out and get crunchy I'll jar em back up and stick em in the freezer for a few days before using them to sift with. After pulling everything from the .2 popcorn I can produce another run by grinding this up even further, but this results in a longer cleaning process since there's more dismantled leaf matter that falls onto and through the top screen.

You would think so wouldn't ya?

I tried 3 hours the first time and the mason jar was cold but that's about it. Maybe if I used a bag it wouldn't take as long, but I'm a jar kinda guy so I just keep it in there for a day or two to let it reach it's coldest potential

I carded the last batch of my Cheesequake x Hollister Kush last night - had a pretty nice return from these popcorn nugs after I crushed em up a little bit more

I love sifting, I skipped a day this week and I felt more stressed out for some reason (I wasn't low on resin or anything either). When I got back to it last night I immediately got in the zone and chilled out for an hour just calmly sifting and not really thinking about anything really, it was nice. What a relaxing method of extraction lol... people complain about how lengthy carding can be but I honestly get bummed when I'm done with it all sometimes. It literally has the same benefits raking sand in a zen box would have I think...

Cleaned twice, and really came out well to be honest. I think being gentle is the key to getting purity in the end product, big time. I bounced material for the "A" grade collection, then lightly used the weight of my hands to brush the popcorn over the 140u screen until too much green material started breaking off for my "B" grade. The leafy green pieces really get down into the resin balls below if I'm rough with the process at any point in time, and it's only making for more cleaning time in the end I feel like


So which screen sizes does everyone use out there?

Thanks man, it really kind of fell into my hands by accident - the Hollister Kush male that TG has somehow pollinated the Cheesequake I had at the time and I kept all of the seeds I found in the buds. I didn't really think anything of it, but that shit came out fire - and while it did herm due to instability, I was fortunate to make some great medicine from it with the screens. It's funny how the best strains I've ever had were total accidents or freebies I've gotten from seed orders....
