An Oakland protester was just on live television saying that riot police overreacted to being hit with glass bottles. The protester said that full riot gear ought to protect law enforcement and rubber bullets was over the top.
Bottle throwing needs to be out of the equation. It wouldn't take much to turn Oakland into another South Central. Protesters are gonna be arrested and unfortunately some will have their rights violated. But resorting to violence could fuck up the protest if it loses public support.
Conscience is often associated with the golden rule, live and let live etc. Try it sometime. Then you might have an argument. But then you might not take offense at benign association while telling others to eat shit. Your idea of conscience seems a bit self centered.

Ever consider the comment prior to the suggestion? I did, else I wouldn't have said it. Associating IPS as conformist or the other poster as a fan doesn't typify their personal aspects. Me saying "all you conformists/fans are... whatever" would be a bigoted comment but I didn't suggest as much.

all it takes is one asshole to throw one bottle at the wrong cop and there could be hell to pay. i really want to see some changes in the system, but i REALLY hope we don't see any major violence going on. the cops will always have the upper hand and some poor fool(s), most likely clueless kids, will end up in a bag because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time ..... something has got to give or something will snap.
