Somas book was the first book I purchased to learn about cannabis cultivation. And I would have to say that your thread just topped it all off! I gotta learn a little bit more before I start messing with the BIG DOG phenos. Great work, love the detailed descriptions, and the lovely pictures. I bet its nice to have the original master SOMA greet you in your thread and give you props!!

Oh, the third picture on top of this thread, the one in the back, is that NEW PURPLE POWER? looks almost just like how I imagined. I actually have them ordered so I am hoping I am right caus that thing is beautiful also!

So you've seen pretty much the same basic selection of pheno's with NYCD? Is the real strong stinky pheno of the Diesel lineage? Also, which phenos (or characteristics) are of the Afghani-Hawaiin?

^^ actually i really only know this : the shorter phenos are the better ones. The short purple one actually has a twin sister that does not turn purple ..how ever it is exacly what calcio erba on this very board mention to me that he had and he called it hawaiian indica pheno!

I consider the diesel-ey-est pheno the one that turns purple...the one i have now currently...ill take pictures in a couple of hours(charging batteries now)... the more pleasant smelling and looking plant is the most dominant phenotype(the one ive recetly found seems to yield muchm ore than its predacessors)..which is the ruby red purple hawaiian indica pheno....the smell is heavy like a perfume or cologne...the smell lingers in air for ever and if you touch the raw resin on the flowers prepare to smell like diesel for a while. Pics up soon guys!! i cant wait to take sum pix!!!

again i think im the only one on this web site whos done such extensive work with nycdiesel. I plan to grow the straw deez, sour diesel IBL, d-39 & alpha diesel Rez is gifting me...next to the sage x deep chunk which i got from bean counter(wish i oculd get more seed from this dood..wheres he at??), deep chunk and bio diesel i got from green lion! respects!!!! i also cracked five of the new NYCD replacements i got from soma himself! they are doing great in 4 inch pots! many many projects in the mix!!! but i have my two choices so far for keepers!!! NYCD( ruby red/purple hawaian indica pheno) and the sage x deep chunk from bean counter...wicked looking stuff so far!

also go to page one..and start from there..i explain the entire experience....five seeds at a time...and i basically clonet he fuck out of her!

Although i have a question. I'm currently trying to figure out what size cab i'm gonna want. NYCD is high on my priority list. My question is... What height do you think would be suitable for a strain such as this? I'm beginning to lean toward a Scrog setup as I think it'll afford me more "Stealth" as far as the overall cab height.

Sorry if this doesnt make sense.

i cannot stop putting my nose on these buds :

such an amazing smell!!! i plan on doing a six clone NYCD sea of green grow next round....with somas way of orgagnics! i got away with only feeeding twice in veg and so far twice in bloom! i plan to feeed the nycdiesel lady pictured above as least as possible!! she is exploding with growth( for some reason the mid/lower bud sites are so heavy they are leaning and flopping down) and ive only fed her twice with bloom & bloom enhancers...TWICE** ...im gonna try not to feeed her again(she is appoximately on day 50-something , im not sure exacly when i put her on 12/12)....hopefully she will continue to expand without nutes so i can start flushing her around day 65! in about a week!!!! So i plan to ammend the sphagnum/peat medium with worm castings, blood & bone meal..and dry guanokalong! hopefully my future 6 clone SOG grow next round wont need much feeeding at all!!! i want to have the tastiest buds as possible!!!! fuck it smells so damn goood!!!!!!!!!

and its only gonna get prettier folks...somas strains tent to get prettier and tastier with time!!! im on day 50-something and i plan to let her go 70++ days!!!! MmmM sooo stinky!!! thanks soma!!!

^^ yea got her back Gl..dr dog yea man its a beauty! this pheno is stinky and yields wicked!! wait in another week it hsould look insane!!! peeep 2006's grow in my gallery page #49 or so... this is such a beautiful strain in looks and aroma!! highly worth the $$ in my opinion!! i got five females from a ten pack...four different phenos....cant complain!

^^ i dont know..its day 50-something...i think its better when you DONT know what day your own....i jt put my hoes into flower without marking he calender..that way you are FORCED to harvest when its ripe..not when you select a day to chop!

i thinkt hey got another 2 wks to go!..i might harvest a lower branch or two to puff on...i cant wait to taste some diesel tho!! i think this friday or possibly this weekendill take a lower branch or two for taste testing

DAMN i found a LARGE lower branch had snapped nearly off..i caught it in time and i ZIP tied it back into place..so its perfectly fine!! it should make a nice KNOT and heal right up!!! this plant is getting FATT!! and im not feeding it much!!!im really amazed at the hearty ness of this plant with minimal feedings!!!!!!!!!!!! the side branches are all flopped over and turning onto their sides!!! i got three large stakes into this plant im going to need more!! its simply incredible...! ill try to pull her out tonight and get some good shots of her!! she deserves a spread out!!!!!!

oh btw i think brittany spears will die on july 11th 2009 thats my prediction...they will find large traces of semen in her system...making it the only semen overdose in history...
